Best headlamp I have had in years!
Works well, does everything the description says. Comfortable putting it on your head. Great quality product that does what it supposed to do even in the rain. Battery really works well in it and I use it quite a bit doing chores after dark like taking the dog out and taking the garbage out. Love the fact that it tilts down and can be aimed ahead of me as I walk. Would not hesitate to buy it again. Easy to turn on and off and its bright. The red light helps after dark as well keeping my eyes adjusted. It's a real tool I would not want to be without.

Perfect for macular degeneration needs!
This head lamp is the best tried!EASY access to batteries - yes, too many headsets seem to be a puzzle!EASY on & off switch! Easy to go between brightness settings! (the final light setting is a strobe light=good for emergencies, being seen when moving around, etc. but annoying to the user.)EASY altering of light angle! Essential!EFFECTIVE LIGHTING for seeing the time/distance on the exercise bike, working crossword puzzles, reading newspapers, comics, and books with smaller print AS WELL AS everything else that now seems imperceptible without a headlamp!GREAT PRICE = 4 headlamps now for strategic placing! I am ready to buy still another set!In conclusion, except for one person's minor annoyance with the strobe light setting (with very frequent daily usage),this headlamp is PERFECT for the user's daily needs with the macular degeneration challenges! For those without any particular visual issues, it's a wonderful assist in any number of situations!I'm also confident that includes the strobe light setting!

Great little headlamp for the price
I've used several different versions of headlamps. As far as this lamp goes it is great but the strap that goes around your head is too large for me.I've used several other brands of head lamps and never had the issue of not being able to tighten it up enough so that it doesn't slide down my face. This strap has a feel to be a bit like slippery/slick so even if you do tighten it all the way it has a tendency to slowly or slightly slip so even after tightening all the way it slips and puts you back in the same situation you started with with it being a bit too loose and sliding down onto my face.Unfortunately for me this particular brand head strap does tend to be too big to wear comfortably because there's not the enough ability to tighten up the strap like I said around your head to make it snug. It probably would be fine for most men. I don't know how to judge someone's head size but I would say that I'm an average female sized head so for probably most women it might be a little bit too loose to wear comfortably. The lighting that comes from the lamp is good. The lamp is adequately bright. I walk in some areas during my usual walk that are completely dark with no street lamps and this does a fine job to light the way.The charge holds for a significant amount of time you could get 2 or 3 average walks out of this before you would need to recharge it or recharge the batteries that you install. To be clear this style a headlamp requires that you insert batteries into it. So my rating regarding how long does the lamp last and how long does it stay bright would depend on the type of batteries that you install and how well they would hold up.So the longevity of the lamp and how long it will last on a walk will be determined by the battery type you use.I use rechargeable batteries in all my headlamps. I have great results using both the Amazon Basics rechargable batteries and the EBL brand rechargeable. The EBL brand rechargeable battery has a higher milliamp it's 1000 M Au.The Amazon basics is 800 M Au. Both of these are AAA size battery I refer to.I have used both brands of batteries for a very long time and there is a little bit of difference how long the charge holds between the EBL and the Amazon Basic based on the milliamps. The higher the Milli Amp rating the longer the charge will hold and this is true of the EBL versus Amazon Basic done rechargeable type.I switched to rechargeable because the amount of batteries that I was using and throwing away using standard batteries became ridiculous. So I've saved quite a bit of money using rechargeable batteries.I've been using both brands recharging over and over again. Both brands have lasted a very long time And I have not experienced a need to buy replacement batteries yet from my original purchases of rechargeable batteries. This is true for both the Amazon brand and EBL brandI've been recharging them for several months maybe even close to 8 or 9 months particularly with the Amazon brand and they hold up just fine. I have not experienced any significant change in the longevity of the charge while in use in several different brands of headlamps. The batteries once recharged hold their charge the same as they did when they were new 2 or 3 and maybe 4 walks. For me a walk means 1 to 1 1/2 mile taking 30 to 40 minutes maybe 45 minutes walking my dog every night.I also wear my head lamp around the house at night and even sometimes during the day depending on where I'm working in my house because there's a lot of darker areas so it's a little difficult to see things sometimes and if I want to get a clear vision while working with small objects or even inside cupboards I may wear the headlamp for several hours around the house. So it's nice to have a strong charge in those batteries so that it keeps working for a long time while you're working on projects. The last thing you need is to have it wear down like 30 minutes after you put it on. I have not experienced anything like that with either brand of battery I mentionedI hope this helps

No home should be with one, or two.
Great product, comfortable adjustable headband and three brightness settings that can fill up a dark room. Inexpensive security for unforeseen emergencies.

Value for the money!
Very impressed with these headlights. I bought a pair of them to use in my power outage / storm kit and love them. I'm really thinking about buying more to keep in vehicles. They appear to be very good quality for the price and I actually like the fact that they take AAA batteries. That makes it easy to just pop in a fresh set of batteries when they run down. Rechargeable lights are "cool", but in a situation that you need light, it's not always best. The adjustable headband is nice, and a little bit wider than normal "cheap" lights. It fits better and feels more secure to me. I don't think you can go wrong with these for general use kinda stuff. If you were a hardcore camper/hiker/outdoors person and used headlights like these a LOT, I'd maybe look at something a little higher quality, but for the money, I think these are great.

Great for summer camp
Sent these to camp with my son. They worked very well for him all week, and held up to being tossed around. The red light gave him the ability to read when it was lights out.
