My Photos Were Saved
I recently inherited a box of old photos, and I couldn't believe how musty they smelled. I wanted to put them all out on display around my house, but I was worried the horrible stench would somehow still be noticeable, even through a frame. I ordered a jar of activated charcoal powder and placed it in a container with the photos and left it closed. Two days later I was happily surprised when I opened the container my photos were saved. There was no trace of the musty smell to be found on any of them. I am so glad I will be able to keep all of the photos in the family for years to come.

Dyed choux paste
Used to make black choux buns for a croquembouche. The colour was perfect. The buns came out really well. Did not affect texture, rise or flavour.

Haven't used this charcoal powder but appears to be good quality.

Extremely smooth
This charcoal has an extremely smooth and silky texture. I prefer my activated charcoal has a tiny bit of fit but this one does not have it. It also lack that mineral taste to it. I’ll be keeping the 4 jars I purchased but that will be all for me. Also I have 2 jars open and neither of them were messy. There was no cloud of charcoal. It’s a regular seal, there is no pressure that causes it to fly out. Not sure what the other reviewers were doing, but so far 2 of my 4 jars were mess free when opened.I think this product is best used for facials and homemade soaps.

Many uses. Works well.
I purchased this because it supposedly removes toxins when consumed, but I’ve tried it a few other ways. I’ve found certain uses work better for me (#2 &3), so overall am happy with the versatility and “results”.1. Drinking on an empty stomach. I mixed it with water and drank it first thing in the morning (didn’t eat for 1-2 hours after). Did this about 1-2x a week for about a month, but didn’t notice much difference.2. Applying topically to remove oils. Mixing with a dash of water and using as a body scrub or mask helped remove oil/sweat. Downside is getting it fully removed requires attention to detail, but toner or rubbing alcohol help.3. Consuming after food intolerances. I read charcoal was commonly used in hospitals to help with poisonings. There were two instances where I ate something that upset my stomach (likely allergic reaction), and 30 mins after drinking a dash of this with water, I felt significantly better. (I’m not a doctor)4. Teeth whitening. Used once and helped remove stains, but supposedly it can strip the enamel since it’s abrasive. It has a weird texture if you consume it, but you only need a small amount. Be sure to rinse the glass right after since it stains (and didn’t come out in the dishwasher).

Great Detox But Very Drying To Your Skin
This is a great detox product that will take the toxins out of your gums, your gut, and your colon, as well as your skin. It is much finer than the Hardwood derived charcoal so you will enjoy it more and it works better. Negative - It is very very drying to the skin when taken orally!!! It is so drying when taken internally that the soles of my feet cracked and I experienced some hair breakage near the root in the short sections of my hair. I would recommend only using for a very short period of time and only if you have oily skin.

Like talculm powder....so soft! Love it!
I've had a hard time finding a GOOD activated charcoal powder that was actually a.....powder, not gritty granuals, and this is it!!!! Its like talculm powder...its so soft. Its the same texture as micronized powder that I've bought from other vendors, but its from coconut shells from Sri Lanka.I've used this to brush my teeth and gums with and it DOES make a difference. Its almost like I've had a professional cleaning! It is a 1.5 oz (43g) jar that you do need to poke a small hole into the vacuum seal BEFORE you open it to release the pressure, or you will have black powder EVERYWHERE. Just use a pin or the tip of a knife to poke the hole, then carefully remove the safety seal.....I also use this for detox, for if I start getting sick (since its the toxins from some illnesses, like the flu, that make you feel just as bad as the virus itself), and a myriad of other uses.....Its a small jar (43 grams to be exact) , but its a very good quality product. I would happily buy this in larger quantities....although, it does last quite a while, there's just more and more I keep finding I can use this for!Either keep it tightly closed, OR transfer some of it to another good tightly sealing jar for more regular use, so that you can keep the main portion from absorbing air and losing its freshness and "activity", as much as possible....also, don't use metal utensils or bowls with activated carbons or they will lose their "activity".
