I will update this review periodically, so far setup was a little confusing but easy and quick, I use a USB cable so I can’t speak to the ease of operating via WiFi. One appealing aspect of this printer is just that, it’s a printer, it has no fax or scan capability, I need neither, so I felt maybe all my money was going in to the printer and not unused features. The fact that it’s single-function may explain Amazon’s cautionary statement about it being a frequently returned item. If that’s the case buyers aren’t paying attention. The screen takes a little getting used to but again, once it’s figured out it’s fine. Some may feel the printer is too big, but it prints tabloid/ledger size paper, it’s gotta be a certain size just because of that. It replaces a 14 year old Brother that took up more space than the Epson does. I will only be printing 11x17 monochromatic on this, so I like that I can load 11x17 paper in both trays, and I also like that In the print setup there’s a black and white selection, I hope this minimizes use of the colored ink cartridges. The auto duplex was an important feature, as everything I print is two sided and it works very well on this Epson, such a time saver. The print quality is good on the standard setting, certainly acceptable in most cases, the higher setting is very good. I like that the tray automatically extends to receive the printed pages. Stay tuned for updates…January 2025- So far I can safely say this is the best printer I've ever used, it's fast, consistent, the standard settings produce a very nice document, when you send it a job it starts right away, no waiting for it to get going, it truly is amazing for the price.

Cartridges labeled as initial Cartridges are included only in the box for printer set up and initial printing.1) So only one page from a whole cartrage.2) Out of the plastic and into the carriage. You can't use this manufacturers cartridge because we think you already used one? Fraud3) This is the second printer of the same model. Had to return the first printer. After replacing the initial blue cartridge. Every print had blue lines about 2mm wide about 2 cm apart. The lines like notebook paper went from top to bottom completely ruining my printouts.4) Two week and two printers and it's going to be up to 45 days for Epson to respond.5) 12 full page 11"x17" printouts before the first printers blue printer head broke, wore out no one will ever know.6) Out the gas money to drop off the printer.7) Epson customer service by phone sucks. Call then have to email the wait until they get around to it.8) 4 hours, 8 photos and one video and no reply.9) Might have to return the replacement printer only being able to print black and white.10) So much waste, half filled cartrage. Landfill much Epson? Throw away or recycle ♻️ so much wasted energy.I wish Epson produced quality or honest products. So horrible of Epson. Wanting people to throw away their time and creating an unnecessary carbon footprint.dealing with a product you deliberately made defective.:) Amazon was great though. 20% refund towards a replacement cartrage so I can figure out if I have to return a second printer.

The media could not be loaded. This is my first time getting an Epson printer. Reading the reviews I was a little worried but so far so good. This is the largest printer that I could find that can print 11x17s. And it works exactly the way I needed.Now it is just a printer it's not a scanner or anything like that. However it is very quick at printing, a lot faster than my HP printers. The quality of the prints are excellent.It was very easy to set up the printer, just had to install a few apps on my phone to get things working. I've had no issues with the wireless connection at all, it connects every time which is way better than a lot of the other printers I've dealt with. I got it on sale, I'm assuming there's probably way newer models but this one is excellent just the way it is for my needs. Was worth every penny!

This printer is very easy to set up and use. (I would give it more stars except it uses a lot of ink, which is expensive.) It helps to look at the instructions when starting up with it, to see where the large format paper goes. The print quality is amazing, but it's a little loud when the receiving tray comes out.

Firmware is corrupted , cant get error message of my screen , tried everything to get it back to normal

Hi everyoneI am a full time artist and have made a ton of prints on this thing. I’ve used this printer for almost two year now and after using it…I from the bottom of my heart recommend that no one buy buy this printer or any epson printer product if any kind.This company is so money hungry and greedy I cannot even explain everything that they do to make this printer the most inconvenient, expensive, and most frustrating product it could possibly be.Long story short, this printer and epson in general, is entirely designed to milk as much money out of you buying ink, as possible. They constantly force you update the printers so that no third party printer cartridges work, while their epson cartridges are the most expensive with very little ink inside. They make any other cartridges that fits in the printer unrecognizable and the chip reader system prevents you from being able to refill any cartridges. Along with that, updating the printer software, as you have to, makes the cartridges that are already in the printer no longer recognizable.I just put an entire new of cartridges in the printer, was printing fine. Then had to update the printer, now none of them work and they are still full.This is just the tip of the iceberg in how inconvenient and money sucking this brand is.For the love of god, save yourself some time, money, and loads of frustration and do not buy this printer or any epson products.
