I use the scanner at a cat rescue, where zip am a volunteer. The scanner is easy to set up and use, and the upload functionality is excellent. This is by far, the best scanner that I have used. Would certainly recommend, and good value for money.

I bought a basic model and there was no instructions so assume I didn’t get one that can upload anywhere or look back at old numbers just push a button and it searches for a chip however I didn’t buy it for that so I’m not bothered. I bought it as a cat has been hanging here for a few months and was always hungry. I first tested it on next doors cat who I know has a chip and it found it in nano seconds. It’s been tested on a few visiting passing through cats too and is really fast so absolutely no faults at all. I had read reviews so had my phone camera ready to catch the number before it vanished when testing the cat in question though so it also did exactly what I needed it to. Definitely happy with this purchase 100%. I read one review that said it had a really loud beep but no cats were even slightly bothered by the beep at all.

Brought as advised by vet, to check the pups micro chips are OK and working when they go to new owners, was easy to set up and use did a quick check on our 2 dogs easily found and recorded the chip, nice and handy tool to work with, nice and light handy size, screen easy to read and can set time out and brightness allowing you time to read the chip numbers, also like the blue tooth making it easy to upload to phone or laptop. Overall very satisfied with product.

I bought this as we have a bunch of stray cats in the area and my neighbour was just feeding them constantly. I couldn't stop thinking about it; if they weren't strays, she was feeding someone else's cats and if they were, she wasn't getting them any help. I raised my concerns to her and she agreed, but didn't know what else she could do. I turned into our area's cat rescue service - every morning, when she fed the cats, I was out with this little device scanning them for chips to see if we could alert their owners for the fat ones and take them to a vet/shelter for the skinny, dirty ones. Turns out most of them were greedy (no surprise) but a few had genuine health issues and no chip, so I caught them and took them to the vet over the course of a week. And that's how I ended up going from 1 cat to 5 cats, because all the shelters were full and I wasn't going to just release them.The device works fine, it's just a bit quick to process the microchip number so it's worth having a phone ready to take a picture. The battery is a little bit touch and go, but unless you're a vet, you're unlikely to be using this constantly. It's a cute device too, looks good and feels smooth.

Does exactly as stated good price and is nice and compact display a tad small for me but that's fine

I had a stray cat wander into my yard recently, and bought this to do an initial scan in hopes of reuniting a lost pet with it's owner. Sure enough, the cat had a chip and the reader immediately loaded it! I've now contacted the company where the chip is registered, in hopes that the owners are looking for it. (My own cat has an "AVID" 9-digit chip, and this scanner - as advertised - does not pick the AVID chip up.) The reader is incredibly easy to use - literally right out of the box, I pressed the button, waved it over the cat's back, and the number popped up. Very handy and highly recommended!

As soon as I came within a few inches of our cats' necks, this reader instantly read the codes from their microchips.The display (albeit small) was very clear and easy to read (even for my old eyes).The only potential issue: you need to be pretty quick to scribble down the number (or take a quick photo of it). If the display times-out (goes dark), you need to re-scan the chip... the data gets zeroed-out when you turn it back on. This was only a minor inconvenience for me - not enough to dock a star from my rating. (Let's call this review a 4.6).Happy with this purchase.

Man muss den Chip nicht suchen, ein grobes Abfahrendes Fells am Hals mit etwas Abstand reicht aus und es piepst. Mit Bluetooth verbunden, verhält sich der Scanner wie ein Eingabegerät. Da wo der Cursor gerade steht, wird der Code eingefügt.
