Amazon Basics Platform Bed with Under-Bed Storage Space - Queen, Wood

It's unfortunate that the first review for this product has to be a 1 star review. The low rating is actually more due to the lack of customer service than the bed itself. I like the bed (I think), but unfortunately, 2 of the parts are slightly defective, missing the little screw inserts required to connect parts of the frame. It can NOT be assembled without these parts which probably cost less than a dollar. But I thought - no biggie, I'll contact support and have them send me the little parts and I'm good. After digging deep and doing google searches I finally found an email address ([email protected]) and sent an email asking for their help. Crickets....Fine, I'll return it then. Except this thing weighs almost 100 pound (it's a solid piece of furniture) and there is NO way I'll be able to get it packaged to ship back. And that's the only way to get a refund. So I have a beautiful King size bed that can't be put together, can't be returned for a refund and isn't being supported by Amazon Customer Service. Sleeping on the floor is obviously making me cranky, but this is not acceptable customer service.

Power tools are basically needed to assemble this.

So, as for the whole bed frame I like the look. I unfortunately did not receive all the screws needed to put it together properly, I just went to the store and bought some as I didn't have time to wait for Amazon to reply and send. I had help from my brother putting it together, which cut time down drastically, until searching for screws that never came. It’s heavy, also another plus having my brother around. I’m not sure exactly how sturdy this will be, guess time will tell. All n all it’s nice looking and hopefully won’t fall apart due to not receiving the proper screws. 🤷🏼‍♀️

A cheap bed makes a room look bad. It was my hope that buying an inexpensive headboard could make the bed look better, and wow what a difference! To be clear this was pretty difficult to put together. It’s possible if you take your time and make sure you follow the instructions to the word. It took me about 45 minutes working slowly. No tools come with it and I had to use my own glue on the dowels, but I would definitely buy again. I was worried by all the chipboard but the final product exceeds the low price. I have a happy daughter with a “fancy” bed ;)

First and foremost I will say this thing is the heaviest box I’ve ever lifted it took three people to get it in my house I’m not mad about that I figured it would be good quality but was I wrong. There were several cracked pieces and it took about 3 1/2 hours to put together the instructions didn’t make any sense and I basically winged it. It is not a standard size king size so my king size mattress doesn’t fit all the way leaving a gap if centered about 2 1/2 inches on each side so a total of 5 inches left open which I’m going to have to figure a contraption and build some thing to see you cure anything falling below it’s just a big hassle. When putting the pieces together the nails in the bags listed by alphabet were too big for the holes so it would crack the wood even more. It was a mess in form when I purchased because in the photo it looks like it has drawers underneath which it does not not a big deal but I bought it specifically for drawers now I’ve got to purchase additional drawers or storage bins for underneath I am hoping that it stays together because one of the boards has a crack from top to bottom will see I just put it together and my mattress weighs about 156 pounds plus myself I guess we’ll find out if it last the test of time. Needless to say I would not recommend this product.

Overall great color, very sturdy materials. (as long as you don't use a power drill lol). Instructions could be better, easy to mess up if you don't pay REALLY close attention. Only other downfall is that finding the drawers for this was harder than it should've been. Just in case you don't read descriptions, the drawers do not come with the bed! Nonetheless, its a really good bed!

Bed is sturdy and looks great. Great value for money. The package is VERY heavy! It takes a long time to assemble, and I would only recommend you self assemble if you are handy. As someone who likes assembling this kind of stuff, I am very happy with it. I ordered a second one for my kid. 4 stars overall because it’s still particle board and is heavy and somewhat difficult to assemble, but for the price I am very happy. Also, it doesn’t squeak!
