Story Spoiler free!
I have about 25 hours clocked into the game and I would say I'm almost done with the story. Before I begin this review I would like to say this is a BIG game there are FPS drops 15-30 depending what town you're in or what area, this is the Vita version which shouldn't hinder the review for overall game play. This game blew my expectations, at first I was sketchy about it the story is a bit cheesy, the chibi's aren't for me. But it gave me a breakthrough I haven't felt in a while, leveling monsters to make them evolve it's like Pokemon all over again, but on top of leveling your monsters get skill points where you can put those points into a tree to unlock cool features, strengths and abilities.Pros- Innovative stacking system- Feels like pokemon- Evolution for the monsters that you can switch back and forth around- Catching monsters requires a certain task before you can capture it "EX" hit monster with fire spell- If you played FF games or didn't this game will make you want to capture everything and evolve everything to see the outcomes-Secret dungeons, secret areas, secret mirages- Good time sink for portable-Skill points for miragesCons- Story was cheesy- You have to wait a LONG time to evolve certain monsters, which can be really tedious considering there is no new game + and they will be evolved close to the end game-Chapters feel very short makes you feel like your closing in onto a book that you don't want to finish.- Main characters don't get any type of Skill tree.

I received day one edition from Delaware seller :D
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this PS Vita World of Final Fantasy from seller Delaware with FBA (fulfilled by Amazon). I was worried before placing my order since the image description has the day one edition cover, but the description doesn't mention any of the DLC contents. After receiving the product, I was thrilled to see that it was indeed the physical copy of the day one edition. The reason why I wanted the day one edition of this game is because the pre-orders, limited and one day editions are the only copies that came with the Japanese voice overs, Sephiroth summon, white chocobo, glow moogle and red bonnetberry. The English voice over for the original copy of the game is terrible! There were a handful of English voice over characters that made me cringe. Characters talk throughout the game not just during cuts scenes, so having the desired voice over for me was important. Now I can finally enjoy this game with much better voice acting and Sephiroth by my side. It's hard to recommend games as everyone has a specific genre and style, but if you have been playing Final Fantasy in the very beginning then you will enjoy playing this game. I've never been into Pokemon/Digimon type games, but I am immersed with this game. The storyline is good, I particularly enjoy Lann's character, he always makes me laugh. Overall a great game for me to play before bed, just run around collecting new mirages.

Make Sure You Have Plenty of Room (3 GB+); PS TV Owners Need Not Apply
Just to be clear, the one star rating is not for the game itself (I'm sure it's very fun; I wasn't able to play), but for the issues surrounding it. I'll explain. I bought this day one naively thinking it was PS TV compatible (and because a question / answer on here previously said it was), but now have learned it is not. Luckily, I didn't actually open the game yet, as upon inspecting it, I was surprised to see it requires 3 GB to play. I went through the memory cards I have, but none of them had enough room for me to play the game (I have three 8 GB cards if you're curious).Naturally, I figured I'd get a new memory card and then play the game on that, but upon reading more into the game I discovered that you also have to download the audio separately. If you want to play the game in English you have to download it. If you want to play it in Japanese, you gotta download that too. And that's on top of the DLC that comes with the game for buying the "Day One Edition". I have no idea how much it will take total and if the 3 GB on the back of the box factor in the English audio, the Japanese audio, both or neither. Either way, you'll want to make sure you have plenty of free space and time to download everything before you begin playing.Anyway, beyond that, my main issue with the game is simply that I can not play it. I don't have a PlayStation 4 or a PS Vita, and do all my Vita playing on the PS TV instead. Despite a majority of Vita games being released with PS TV support nowadays, Square for some reason couldn't be bothered to add it here, despite reports that it doesn't require use of the touchscreen at all. I wonder if the extra $20 price tag of the PS4 version had something to do with that decision being made.Assuming you do have access to a PS4, I'd wait until the game drops to $30-$20 before snagging it. Considering the Vita version is 99% the same (with only the graphics being a bit nicer on PS4) yet costs so much more, there's really no reason to not wait, unless you can't pass up having a little chibi-Sephiroth in your game (and I'm sure they'll put him and the other Day One DLC up for sale to everyone else later on anyway).Truthfully, the only reason I bought the game at launch was because I was concerned that there wouldn't be another print run for the Vita after all the "Day One Edition" stock runs out, and with the Prime discount it made for an easy impulse buy. But seeing as it doesn't work on PS TV anyway, and I doubt they'll ever patch it, there's no reason for me to keep it now. My only regret is experiencing the massive disappointment of buying it only to realize I have to return it.
