Versatile knife....
Use this knife on several type of fish (flounder, tautog, striped bass....) If you want a general knife for a variety of species this is a great knife with usual Dexter quality. If you are cutting the same fish all the time, in quantities (ie. work on a boat or fish house etc...), I would go for a knife for that specific species. As an all-around general fillet knife this one is excellent for the more casual user who only wants to buy one knife.

Very sharp!
I love that it is made in USA. Be careful or you can cut yourself easily. Only complaint is the handle guard is so big that it gets in the way and touches the cutting board every use.

It is a good knife just over priced
Larger than I was thinking it would be. I see no real difference in this knife and my rapala.It's not any sharper nor does it hold an edge any longer.It is a good knife just over priced.
