Adult chips for the "foodie" AWESOME!
These are adult chips! Full of flavor!!If you like salt and vinegar chips, you will love these. These are next level. These chips are crisp like a kettle chip, but not as hard. I love the texture of these, they are almost meal-like. The cheese and port combination is a masterpiece! I did not know chips could be so satisfying and sophisticated. I don't claim to be a "foodie", but if you are, you will likely really enjoy these British chips.

Wonderful flavor, terrible shipping
Okay... Let me just start off by saying these chips are delicious! Lightly cheesy, just the right amount of salt, a hint of something tangy and a little pink indicating wine. These are actually quite delicious with a glass of red wine! Having said all of that, I received one bag when the order was originally for six. And the shipping... I realized the company itself is not in charge of how this product was packaged and shipped however they should be aware.... My one bag of chips was placed inside a bubble envelope mailer and shipped to me in that manner. I couldn't figure out what was crinkly inside the envelope until I opened it. That bag of chips was as flat as my hand! I was actually shocked that any chips survived and arrived intact given that type of packaging and shipping! The chips are delicious and I would definitely order them again but only if I knew that they were going to be shipped in a different way (again, not really the fault of the company itself but definitely a problem for the warehouse that shipped these!).

Did not receive what I ordered
This description clearly states you're ordering 6 5.29oz bags for $28.99 -- I received ONE 5.29oz bag. Most expensive bag of chips I've ever ordered. Extremely disappointed.

Unique & Tasty Gourmet Chips w/ Good Umami Flavor-Airy & Crunchy, Taste Isn’t Artificial
These Savoursmiths Italian Cheese and Port potato chips are tasty. These are way more gourmet tasting than the average potato chip. I get a prominent umami taste with red wine vinegar, yeast extract, cheese (tastes aged) and ruby port flavors with potatoes. Those who like vinegary chips should enjoy these chips, though these still taste quite different than a standard vinegar and salt chip as these are less tangy, sweeter and have more depth and nuance to the flavor. These chips have kind of a reddish orange tinged color that I assume would be from the red wine vinegar, ruby port and maybe even black current extract. The chips are thin, crisp and airy and seem smaller and more delicate than many chips, but they still have a good crunch. These taste fresh and have a unique flavor that I haven’t tried in a chip and they don’t have a processed, chemical taste. The taste is unique so they may not suit everyone, but I think these stand out as better than most. 4.5 stars. Product of the United Kingdom.

I Thought I Ordered Potato Chips .... I Got Crumbs
First the listing shows that you will be getting 6 bags. I only received one. The reason I point this out is because perhaps the package of 6 would have protected the bags unlike mailing a single bag. The single bag of potato chips arrived in a bubble mailer .... hmmm small thin piece of plastic protecting small mylar bag .... you can imaging that didn’t go well. It arrived completely flat. The chips were crumbs. I don’t think I got a single piece bigger than a dime.Moving on to the chips themselves. They are fairly greasy which most chips are but still. The flavor however was odd. I wanted to like it but it was just odd. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t like it. I would eat them if they were the only thing available and not be grossed out but I wouldn’t choose them. Overall disappointment from how they arrived and the odd flavor leads me to say look elsewhere for your chips.

Interesting Flavor Either You Like or Hate
My review score will be only on the chips itself and ignoring how they were shipped which will be brought up at the end.Going in "blind" initially opening the bag you're greeted by the smell of vinegar followed by the Italian hard cheese smell. The cheese smell might not be something one could be familiar with and may smell off.Tasting it is another experience if someone isn't ready for it. You'll notice the potato flavor first. No explosion of cheese flavor as probably because of the "dried Italian hard cheese" and not your typical cheddar cheese chips style. Then followed by the flavor of port. In a jokingly way I thought this tasted like a stale cardboard chip before the flavor of the port hit. As I kept eating it more I started to think of it like a blue cheese type with port on the side. The chip thickness is similar or slightly thicker than Lay's chip. The flavor and crunch does make it feel thicker than what it is.I shared this with the household "blind" also and they all thought something was off until I revealed what the flavor was. One thought initially though the chips were stale expired bad before tasting the port and started to question it before seeing what the flavor was.The price is high at $4.50 a bag after the $29-$2 coupon at the price of review. But it's an unique and interesting flavor that might not be emulated as much as it's either like or hate. For me it's something I would get from time to time.So Amazon decided to ship this 6 packs of these chips placed in a "Ready to Ship" bag before stuffed into a mailer bag. This is a problem with the Amazon's packaging algorithm decision and selling these at 6 bags when they seem to come in a box of 12. Hopefully this gets resolved or the reviews might be skewed towards the poor shipping method. Pictures of how it is shipped along with the best and second worst bag (first one I uncrumpled too quickly, but the chip contents pictures for the review are from that bag) will be included hopefully to help prevent this for the future. Surprisingly none opened up.

Crunchy, Thick & Delicious
These are crunchy & thicker than typical potato chips – more toothsome, similar to a kettle chip. If you prefer thin & crisp chips, you may not like these. The Italian cheese & port is really good – tangy cheese with a bit of sweetness from the port. They have the right amount of salt for a chip – salty but not over-salty. We love these in our house. The broken bits are excellent sprinkled inside a sandwich.
