Pioneer 0947007-20 5mm Nickel Shelf Pin (Bag of 20) Handy Button

Labeled 5mm but they measure 3mm so won’t work. Not eligible for return but I can’t see why. Beware. Photo shows item sent on left, item it should match on right (bigger).

These are your basic shelf pin. I lost a pin from a generic Target bookshelf. I didn't need this many, but now I have all that I will ever need for the rest of my life!! It seems most standard bookshelves have the same size holes so these will probably fit any basic or generic ones you have. These fit fine into the pre-drilled holes on my closet organization system. The only complaint is that the actual surface area of the part of the pin sticking out is pretty small. This works fine for my purposes as I'm using it for small shelves. I don't think I'd use it for the longer shelves which are over a foot in length. The finish is nice and even with no rusting or anything weird going on.

These pins are definitely not 5mm, they are closer to 3mm. Also it says a bag of 20 and there were only 15 in the bag. I tried to return the product, but it says it is ineligible. I have contacted Amazon since it is clearly mislabel and misrepresented.

During a recent move we accidentally lost some pegs to one of our bookshelves so I ordered these replacements. Of course, being the very model of being prepared, I did not measure the size of the holes or the size of the original pegs, but who cares about foresight! These worked perfectly and now I have several to spare. You might want to measure yours first, but I imagine these will fit the majority of "affordable" bookshelves that use a pin system as we have a couple of brands and they fit all of them. Really can't have any complaints here.

I believe the dimensions of my peg holes on my shelving unit were 3/16s of an inch. I typed that in the amazon search box and it defaulted to these 5mm...because of the affordability, I took a chance and they turned out to be a perfict fit. The movers misplaced the pegs during the move and this was a time and money saver. No need to travel to the local hardware store and buy several types to ensure/test the fit, these fit snug.

I moved into my first place and a few of the book/dvd shelves I purchased from yard sales were each missing a few of these pieces. Easy fix and saved me lots of money. They are the perfect fit for 3 different shelves.I have extra now which will be great in my new junk drawer. ;)

The product is fine bit it isn't the size I need and it IS NOT ABLE TO BE RETURNED due to Amazon's policy. Maybe I should have read that in the discription.
