Westinghouse 2 channel home/office intercom plug in and talk

A Christmas gift for my cousin. She is disabled and has a relative sleeping in the downstairs bedroom.Going up and down stairs caused pain and suffering but she had to in order to wake him up. She said it has helped her so much and that it works perfectly. There is no interference and the volume is great.

I had a set in a previous home... maybe 20 years ago. I figured ..if that set worked...maybe these will, too. I read some reviews that complained but I bought them anyway. Well.. on the first try they did not work..lots of buzz...tried a different elec receptacle on a different circuit in the kitchen and they worked so...I am satisfied. If you get them you may have to try different receptacles to find a pair that are compatible.

The product carries several badges so if you order a Novi and get a Westinghouse, panic not.It works as advertised. Plug it in an talk. Heck plug in two and someone talk back to you ! :-)We have a big house, I have tested these on the different circuits and there were no issues. In short, they are reliable, the sound quality is good, and they work. The price is reasonable.

This product is represents one of the reasons I do not like shopping online or by mail order. The price point it attractive but if there is an issue with the product the cost of return precludes the returning of the product.In short this was the worst purchase I ever made and if I could return it and recover my investment I would. I bought the set so that my wife could communicate with me from the bedroom to the basement (one floor immediately below the bedroom) where my office is. It simply does not work. If I plug it in across the room or in the hall bath next door to the bedroom works great!So this product needs a caption that says it is severely limited by the house wiring. Terrible!

It looks great but it is so hard to find a place to plug in. It only worked in 2 plug ins in the house so I couldn't place it where it was convenient. My husband is very ill and I wanted to put it by him in our bedroom but it only worked in one plugin across the room from him. We have all new wiring in the last two years.

This was my husband's idea to save both of us steps when we are on two different floors of our home. When we need one another its just a matter of pushing the call button and talking thru the intercom.

I was looking for an intercom device which would allow my wife (sleeping in one room) to contact me during the night (sleeping in another room) if she needed assistance. The NovI WI equipment was not acceptable - there was a lot of noise on the system when it was not in use: it might have been caused by the path of the signal coming close to the path of the wireless interconnect between my PC and laptop. Even when we were transmitting it still was noisy.

this intercom did not work between floors that are less than 10 feet apart. It was listed as operational up to 1500 feet in different parts of the home or office. I returned it immediately.
