Okay, this is exactly what I've been looking for to secure myself to my tree stand during hunting season. I bought two lightweight locking D carabiners to use on the ends. First, I wrap a ratcheting strap around the tree and secure it well. Then I attach one carabiner to that strap. The other end of the lanyard I attach with the other carabiner to my safety harness or riggers belt D loop. Done. I'm secure and ready to hunt with confidence. The bungee material in the middle will help take he "snap" out of a fall, and I feel very confident this is exactly what I need to protect myself from a fall from any platform. The length is perfect to recover from a small fall without leaving me "hanging" (literally and figuratively) just out of reach of my stand platform or branch to reestablish footing. The quality of this things is superior. The stitching is top tier. This lanyard is definitely the best one I've found and perfect for what i need it for. I received it in new condition in secure packaging very quickly after I ordered it. There was no delay, no problems, and no disappointment. I am satisfied and recommend this for any application you need to feel safe and secure wether it be in boating, climbing, hanging from a moving vehicle in a tactical situation, hunting or on a construction site. Buy and "hang" with confidence.

Overall it's a good product for it's price. It's well made. I have not tested it for a shock load with my full weight but I'm confident in it's ability to do so. It's great for standard uses in helicopters, aerial ladders, or rope work. Although I would not recommend it for standard fire ground operations, mostly because because it's not NFPA rated. It can also be great use for things like walking dogs, airsoft, or working with special needs children. I have a close friend with a brother that's special needs and we use this to help keep him from running into traffic when we walk with him. I use it with black diamond locking carabiners, and a 5.11 riggers belt. It shipped and arrived rather quickly, it is real Blackhawk product. And if it's not it's a very good imitation. It does not come with carabiners or a belt.

They're strong, lightweight. Just as advertised. (For my own use case, I would like to have one this length and one twice this length :) )

Use it only for weapon retention for when I need to go hands on. I use a heavy duty carabiner to attach to my belt.
