I use this digital measuring device everyday for my job. The battery life is brilliant and lasts weeks. The device pairs with your phone via an app which is extremely easy to use however with the on screen display there is no need for the app. The device is different from the others on the market and my customers always comment how good it looks. The measurements themselves are always accurate. With its small size it’s very easy to carry around and fits inside my trouser/jacket pocket, the screen is clear, bright and easy to read. I have found this to be great value for money and would highly recommend.

But it has been an exceptionally useful device. Battery is long lasting and it’s easy to use and very accurate after checking it with my tape measure initially.

The Android phone software keeps nagging you for access to your phone contacts. It is like very bad spyware. You should be very careful if you dare to install it on your own phone and preferably do not use it and send it back for a refund. Do not allow children or vulnerable adults to use the software let alone the device because it will seriously compromise their online safety. This is one for the police or the ICO to sort out and i am not kidding, the software will persist until it has finally got your personal information and sent it who-knows-where. Probably China i guess.The software is also functionally bad. The Bluetooth scanner will only pick up the device if you set your region to Germany. It does record the device's measurements but the naming and cataloging feature is worse than useless. There is no data export feature so just forget the software and use a pencil and paper instead. Truly awful. You are better off with a simple device that just stores the data rather than relying on your phone.I actually feel violated by this device's software and am not at all happy right now. It is going back to Amazon. I hope they destroy the lot of them or hand them over to the police.

Works well and ideal and small enough to keep in your pocket all day, the app has a room measuring feature that puts makes a scratch of the room using the measurements if you’re into that sort of thing. Small display is very clear and once figured out is quite easy to readBluetooth link to the phone is via an app but again it linked very well and we were soon measuring everything we could.Downside is it doesn’t give you a live reading while the laser dot is showing, once you got it where it needs to be you have to press the button to lock that measurement in and view it which makes it quite fiddly if working one handedHope this review helps someone make a choice on this item

Wow, its tiny, brilliant device which we recently used all morning when checking out the suitability of a number of car boots to see if they could accommodate our motorised wheelchair.We even had comments on how easy it was to use compared to old school tape measures.The best feature for me is its one handed use, leaving the other hand for writing in you happen to be on your own.I just wish we'd got one sooner and I love how the Mi Home integration is super easy to setup.The only thing missing is a storage case, luckily I had the one pictured which used to have a go pro in it available and its a perfect size for this device.

The product is okay, just sometime worry about accuracy

Neat little gadget and easy too use. It is bizarrely right handed if you’re holding it in place one handed and want see the readout when you press the button. Otherwise I’m measuring everything! Seems to be accurate and copes with different (not super shiny) surfaces and those not perfectly perpendicular

Update: I have been issued a full refund from Hoto. They stated that this was a mistake from the factory and I should have received the new version which has both Meters and Feet + Inch. Very good customer service!Amazing product, works great and the floor plan on the app is great, but this is the EU/Worldwide version which measures in Meters (1.03m) and Feet in decimal point (1.9ft which is 1ft 11")? Who would want this? The product description and pictures are wrong for this item, it shows Feet with Inch on the phone. If you want the US Version with Feet + Inch as described, you can got to the Hoto own website and buy it there.
