Excellent dustmite protection
Already sleep with it for few weeks. It is very effective in protecting dustmite. It will not have a balloon feel. I like it very much.

Protection from mold + bed bugs + more - inexpensive and seems well made
Inexpensive and seems to do the jobDoes add to the warmth of the pillow, but no more than any other product out there in my experienceI bought this because my GF had been living in a place with Mold Issues. Her Dr told us that we could benefit from adding cases like this to our pillows because it would lock mold out and keep it on the exterior where it could be washed away in a washing machine. Without it, the mold can penetrate into the pillow and live and grow in the pillows fibers or feathers.Sounds like a tall tale, but I believe it now... it only takes having one person close to you go through something like mold poisoning to actually start to get enough education on it to see the reality of it.Anyway, worth the money and the investigation.. these are now on all our pillows and get washed a few times a month. How I rate something:When I review an item, I try to always do so in context of the product and its description. For example, if I bought a vase that said shatter proof, and then drop it on the ground and it shatters, that is bad. But if I purchased a crystal wine glass, and knocked it over on the counter and it broke, I would not say "these glasses are not very sturdy".I believe, when possible, in reviewing items based on what is available in the market. Sometimes the market simply does not have better options. So if the product is the best in its class, I think it deserves 5 stars even if you can "poke holes" in their design or materials. I want to help you pick the best item available COMPARED to all other items that fill the same user requirements.Who I am / Where I work / Why I reviewI am not affiliated with the sale of ANY product(s)I do not take employment from any company I review, in any wayI paid for the product out of pocket and I work a job in a completely unrelated field to items I purchaseI am a serial researcher by hobby (and OCD) and spend a lot of time developing my purchase choicesI recently decided to do what I could to give back to the Amazon community for all the reviews they have done that have helped me with decisions on products I have madeThis review is 100% honest and based on my personal experience with the product

Less Expensive and At Least as Good (Possibly Better) than Most
I bought this primarily to protect my nice pillows against bedbugs. I don't have bedbugs now, but have enough friends with bedbug horror stories that it led me to buy this (and similar mattress protectors) as a preventative measure.I must note that the primary purpose of this product, for me, is to prevent bedbugs from reaching my actual pillow, in the event that they get into my house in the first place. Fortunately, to the best of my knowledge I don't have any bedbugs in my house, thus I have no means of assessing the actual effectiveness of this product in accomplishing its primary mission of protecting my pillow from bedbugs. However, the seams are stitched well, the zipper closes very securely, and the ostensibly-bedbug-proof inner lining of the product is made of polyurethane, which I expect to be more durable and less susceptible to cracking than cheap vinyl used in some pillow protectors. Finally, I have no factual basis to dispute the bedbug-resistance claims of some competing products made of 100% microfiber polyester, but I have a couple of those and I must admit that I am rather skeptical of their ability to actually keep bedbugs out.In any event, this is the least costly and seemingly highest quality pillow protector I have been able to find among four different ones I have bought that claim to be bedbug-proof. In the absence of a Consumer Report or similar scientific comparison of bedbug-proof pillow/bed/etc-protector products, my money is on this one.

Make sure you know there is only one pillow case in the package
In terms of quality, these are good. They are arguably a bit larger than you'd expect for a typical pillow (queen-sized I guess that is) so I find that sometimes they stick out of the pillow case. But they seem to do a good job. The barrier is good enough that air doesn't even escape very well so they ensure your pillows stay puffy (for better or for worse, depending on what you like). Somehow though, and maybe because I was researching a lot of pillow cases and may have confused more than one listing, I thought you received two cases in the package for that price. So I'm a little disappointed at what I paid for them since others were cheaper and I obviously had half of what I needed but, in the end, that's my fault. Just make sure you pay attention.
