How far does it extend out?

Ergotron's literature specifies a maximum extension of 25", with an attached weight capacity of 7-25 pounds. I purchased, and use, an Ergotron LX Extension (Part Number: 45-289-026) which increases the maximum extension to 34". With the 9" extension in place, the maximum weight capacity is reduced to 18 pounds. No more than ONE extension should be used. My monitor weighs 7.75 pounds. I am 100% satisfied with this configuration.

Is this wall mount easy to adjust?

Yes, they are easy to adjust. Just have to make sure the tension adjust is set high enough to keep it where you want it.
