CroakiesSewn Leather Eyewear Retainer, Black, Spec Ends, 24" x 1/2"

i am aways looking for something, notes, pens, keys, eye glasses and so on. They just disappeared into the thin air without any regrets. i wish smart people in Silicon Valley could invent a replay button of our daily life. i really want to know where, when and how did that car key slipped through my finger tips and disappeared three weeks ago. The $300 reading glasses i had lost brought me a lecture from my husband. He said, why don't you go to Amazon and find out how much is an eyeglasses retainer. I said probably two dollars. I went on to Amazon and found these eyewear retainers. It costed more then $2 each, but worth the money. I am wearing it with my glasses every day. My new pair of eyeglasses is still with me. Why four stars, you ask? Because it does not have a replay button!

This is a nice clean style' neither masculine or feminine. Utilitarian I would say..or just smart. Have bought them 2 at a time for several years, as the retainer cord always gets stretched out after about 6 months. After that, glasses keep slipping off the cord. I take them off about 15 times a day I guess. But I am not yanking them, just removing the glasses.I guess I Will try the other types of cord. Maybe I will come back to these.I would not mind a dark navy blue or deep gold color for an alternate to deep brown or black.

I replaced the red cotton cord I used for my reading glasses after one of my employees thought I was bleeding down the side of my head. The cord is nice and thin, the retaining loops are just right, and it works well. My only complaint is that after a few months of use the leather is showing some signs of abrasion. I can't say if it's affecting the strength at all - time will tell. Still, I don't expect something like this to last forever, and when it goes south, I'll probably buy another one.

Although it is leather it IS NOT “braided leather” only folded and stitched. It works though.

I am so pleased with the FINE QUALITY of this Croakies product that I ended up buying 2 for myself and 3 for my siblings (which I gave to them as Christmas gifts)! My brother and sisters LOVE them as much as I do! They had never worn an eyewear retainer until I gave them one ... but once they put it on, they've worn it every day and said they love it! We all like the premium leather for its thin, classy appearance and soft comfort. Although this Croakies product costs twice as much as some other eyewear retainers, it's absolutely worth the extra expense and I highly recommend it.

So far, so good. They do what they are meant to do and they look good doing it. One caveat: If you're new to the concept, take extra care to avoid getting them tangled with anything else. My small dog got his paw tangled in them for just a second and easily pulled it enough to bend the metal hinge on the temple of my frame. The optician mostly fixed it but warned me that he sees quite a bit of damage done to frames due to cords getting caught on things. (If all else fails, at least be a cautionary tale.) :-)

I BOUGHT A PAIR GLASSES THAT WERE BROWN SO I BOUGHT THE BEST LOOKING RETAINER ,I FOUND OUT THEY ARE A STRONG RETAINER WON'T COME OFF WHEN YOU JUST TURN YOUR HEAD ORBEND OVER,I HANG MY GLASSES ON MY BED POST SO WHEN I GET UP THEY ARE NOT FELL OFF OVER NIGHT.BILL MARTIN

I purchased these because the chain one I have was quite cold in the winter. These are well made and I do like them but they are a little stiff and after taking them off and on a few times they get twisted up a bit and you have to remove them to straighten it out.

It works well with my glasses. Required for photography where I am constantly taking my glasses (polar sunglasses) off to look through the camera and back panel. Hang in front and easy to put back on. No more gambling with them being propped on my head. Gave 4 star because too early to judge endurance.

Great so far. Mom loves them. Way better than the tube holding style that end up losing grip and sit behind the ears uncomfortably.

very nice. i think i will order another 1or 2. fast delivery too...

Love it so much, now I don't loose my spectacles so much.
