The media could not be loaded. So since these gloves arrived I’ve used them a great deal..hence they are looking a little grubby. The measurements on Amazon are correct so I expected them to be a bit on the loose side which they are but they are not too big that I can’t use them and they fit my hubby too which is a bonus. They are very strong and well stitched together ( suede on the fingers and palm and tough canvas on the wrist and back) and they come half way up my forearm. They are also quite soft so I can easily bend all my fingers which is necessary when I’m gardening and wanting to grip trowels, secateurs etc. I tend to wear these when I’m doing big jobs that need extra protection. They really stop any thorns stabbing you and I’ve cleared a couple of areas ready for new plants and they were perfect. No splinters, no dirt up your finger nails and no scratches. These seem great value for money as the last suede/ canvas pair I had many years ago were more expensive. It says they are washable ( I will do this by hand) and looking at my photos I should probably do them soon. I’m hoping they don’t shrink but if they do I will update this review. I’m very pleased I bought them.

Great gloves, was skeptical about sizing, I'm an average guy with not overly large hands, they fit me perfectly. My wife tried them they were too big. If you have large or smaller hands, well its a lottery.

I don’t normally review products. I bought these so i could deal with an overgrown area of brambles. These gloves worked brilliantly. Allowed me to grip them and pull them out within a single scratch.

I have given 5 stars even though the gloves are not truly thorn proof. What gloves are They?The gloves are quite soft and comfortable and having long cuffs is useful.Large thorns on thick brambles may puncture the leather if you grip the bramble too tightly. That did happen once and I changed my grip and had no more thorn pricks.Handle thorny shrubs and brambles with care and you should be okay. For removing stinging nettles, the gloves are perfect.I certainly recommend these gloves for general garden use.
