This filter has multiple layers of different types of media to help clean your water very well. It’s quite easy to cut to the size you would like. It works well I would buy it again.

This filter material expanded into shape immediately after soaking in warm water for 5 minutes. I cut it to fit my hang on back filters, replacing the filter floss with this foam material. So far, it works very well and seems at least as effecient as the polyfiber I had been using.Its also fairly easy to clean. Just remove from filter and squeeze it while rinsing.

Took a bit for it to retake it's shape, once it did this thing is a lot bigger than I needed. But it works for what I needed it for and that's all I wanted.

It’s a little too thick for my needs for my canister filter, but it definitely is a great addition to any canister filter or filter for any aquarium. I was just looking for something a little more believable, but I can use this in other applications in my aquarium as well.

It comes with directions and they worked for me. What I did was, removed the flattened product, opened it up, filled the tub with enough water to cover the product and set an alarm for the required time. then I drained the tub and left the product there to drain. Once it drained ( a couple of hours later-not necessary but worked for me) I lay it on a towel on top of my washer and let it dry. I have cut up pieces and used on three different HOB filters and have more than half still left.

Cut to size, I used these as dividers to create shrimp nano tanks. 50 ppi ensures the fry don't get through and I'm able to maintain perfect water parameters. I will absolutely utilize this method in the future and recommend it for that purpose.I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and based on the complaints about it fully expanding, I did my own thing and it worked great. Yes, when they arrive, they're vacuum packed and rock hard. They don't just expand when exposed to air nor when you try to pry it apart so patience is key. What worked for me was filling the tub with water and submerging them (I got 2) and then stretching them out gently a little at a time over the course of the day. In the beginning I filled containers and sat them on top to keep them submerged but when they were ready, they were perfect. I squeezed out all of the tub water possible, placed them between some towels and pressed until they were dry. Cut to size and then soaked in a bucket of tank water for a few hours before setting up so it wouldn't offset the water parameters.

Comes vacuum sealed, you will need to leave it in a sink/bath tub over night so it can fully shape into the right size. other than that, its even, isnt deformed, and is great quality.

I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. There were a lot of dissatisfied reviews because it comes vacuum packed.First of all, I was not in a hurry to use the filter. I got it out of the bag, gently stretch it out. Then I left it alone. When I got back to it but 2 weeks later, it was reinstated.I've been using it for several weeks now. Rinsing it off about twice a week because it has been filtring out the fine particles and keeping our pond water clear! It's still in good shape. Whereas the polyester filter pads cannot be cleaned out thoroughly and breaks down after a few washes. The fibers then just gets into the water.I would buy this again. Hopefully they keep the quality and not bastardize the product.

Wie man in anderen Rezessionen lesen konnte kommt die Matte Vakuum verpackt an . Wenn man sich an die Anleitung hält , und nicht mit aller Kraft an der Matte rumreißt , dann merkt man schnell wie gut sie sich letztendlich in die Ursprungsform entwickelt . Zugegeben beim nächsten mal hole ich mir die Matte für den selben Preis im fachhandel dann hat man sich diesen Schritt gespart .Trotzdem muss ich sagen das ich zufrieden bin .

Um fair zu bleiben, ich hatte die Filtermatte für einen spezifischen Zweck geplant, den vielleicht nicht jeder im Sinn hat. Dafür wäre Formfestigkeit Vorraussetzung gewesen. Die hat das Produkt schon wegen der Anlieferung nicht. 50x50x4cm werden auf 13,5x20,0x6,0 cm gefaltet, gepresst und vakuumiert. Die dickste Stelle nach Belüften ist vielleicht 3 cm. Leider für den geplanten Zweck absolut enttäuschend. Mit den gezeigten formechten Blöcken hat das Produkt leider nichts zu tun.
