MagniPros 5X Oval Shape Dome Magnifier-4 Ultra Bright LEDs-Ideal for Reading Small Prints & Low Vision

Well, I had high expectations due to the earlier reviews, However, the Magnipro device has one very misleading claim: well lit. The device has weak and low light LEDs (I put new batteries in) that do not illuminate the magnified surface sufficiently. It does magnify fine but you still need to use it in a well-lit area for adequate lighting. You get what you pay for. Still, adequate for magnification purposes but does NOT perform as the more expensive ones with lighting do.

I got this for my Mom who is vision impaired and it has worked great for her. It is the only magnifier she has that is strong enough for her now. It is very handy (no pun intended) because she can put it down on the newspaper, mail or any paper to read and does not have to hold it, which is the type of magnifier I had been looking for. The lights work well and enhance its functionality. Definitely recommend for seniors and vision impaired.

I am delighted. Just what the doctor ordered. Just slide it across print or hold on paper to read telephone number, card numbers, any printed material. I saw a low vision doctor who had a similar item for sale. I liked it right away. The cost was over $200. I can't see any difference in that one and this one - which I have already purchase my second one for a friend with low vision. She will be as pleased as I am. Thanks for a great item - so helpful.

Big, clear, bright text just like the picture. I liked that this can be placed directly on a page unlike some other page magnifying products that have to be held a certain distance from what you're reading. Works great on a newspaper on a table.Need to add something that makes stubborn father use it. Beer scent?

Fancy wrapping, black velveteen pouch, but VERY POORLY MADE OBJECT.. The lens popped out when the whole thinglanded on a carpet from about 24 inches. The lens is just glued in, not with very strong glue. It is not a friction fit at all,so the only way I can get any use from it is to hold the lens in my hand. lSo the little superstructure is a dead waste of money.First really disappointing thing I've ever got through Amazzon.

Didn't add up to our expectations. My husband has advanced macular degeneration and was not able to see much at all with the ma!

Great product. Light is a great feature. Nice touch that seller sent email in advance of product arriving with instructions on how to contact if we were not satisfied with the purchase.

I gave this to my mother who has both glaucoma and macular degeneration. She was quite happy with how bright it made the print she tried reading.
