Perfect to reduce boredom I have 4 cats but one runs away with it

My kitty is scared of it, but grooms the feather every day. It is quiet and moves very randomly.

I really don't want to have to start buying batteries regularly to power this toy. If it was USB chargeable, it would have been perfect. I debated returning it because of this, but my cat really does like the toy. It keeps her interest and the silent motor is a great feature! So we'll keep it. Just makes a $20 cat toy into a much more expensive one, because of the battery requirement.

I had surgery at the beginning of the year that I'm having complications from. So I'm healing is very slow, I'm still in a lot of pain. I bought this in the first week of February because I couldn't play with my cats as much as they were used to. They LOVE it! They really will play with it for hours if I let them. The first issue is, batteries. This toy sucks them down, and doesn't like the rechargeable kind at all. But worse, it's now been 10 weeks and this poor thing is dying. Even with fresh juice, it's not moving like it used to and my boys are not having fun with it anymore.Bottom line this toy is expensive. Even if it wasn't $20 out the gate, the amount of batteries I've put in it... oof I don't even want to do the math. But now 10 weeks later I need to replace it? Even if my cats like it I just don't think I can justify it. I'm going to try to find something else for them, but I do feel guilty, they really loved this one. So I'm deeply conflicted about this toy,

I've been using this as a supplement for my cats playtime because he is extremely high energy and never wants to stop playing even after our 5 thirty minutes play sessions, a result of him not wanting to stop playing always results in play biting that scratches up my ankles and feet because he'll come over from the complete other side of the house just to bite softly or punch me without his claws , but this thing keeps him busy/non bitey and he likes how fast it goes, it's pretty durable too because he grabbed it by the wand and carried it up his cat tree before dropping it on the floor from 4 feet up and then he pulled the wand off of the toy itsself but it just pushed right back on

My cat does love it, but the power switch sticks out on the side and the kitten turns it off with most attacks. A switch would be preferable. Also the first one stopped working after 1 day for some reason.

After placing batteries in couldn't get back together. Not enough room for batteries. Had to tape it together, which is pain when changing the batteries. Other than that our cat loved it. Please allow room for batteries so it can be closed!!!

I think this may have been a used and returned one that was sent to me, it was absolutely filthy, covered in dirt and grime out of the box, and the feather toys looked like they had already been chewed on (see the 3 pictures). I was planning on returning it but my cat ran off with one of the feather attachments and ripped it apart as I was taking pictures of the dirty base, so I don’t feel right returning it after my cat broke one of the attachments. If it didn’t come dirty and chewed on I would have given it a 5 star rating because the cats like the feathers and the motor is silent, although the feathers come apart too easily. It has a weeble wobble type base so it pops back up after the cats pull it down so they play with it even with it off.
