This item has proven to be extremely easy to read and use. This instrument is made of quality materials and does everything it says it will do.

Does the job. Seems solid, easy to read.

Its clear why this unit is significantly more expensive than the lower grade refractometers available. Clearer readings, a brighter prism, heavy weight, sturdy design and quality build. A tool for the professional in the brewhouse or in the field. Would have been 5 stars if the soft case was a hard case with foam insert. Still well worth the extra over a lower grade tool.

Worked well! Very accurate and is super easy to read. Like only needing a small sample to get a good reading.

I use this for beer brewing. I use a conversion calculator (online spread sheet) to convert from Brix to specific gravity to determine alcohol content. And to know when fermentation is done mostly. no more change no more fermentation! In not a real picky brewer!
