The unit PACW29COL (9000btu) seems very well put together and from what I can see, seems to be really high quality (comparing to a very old unit I had). As I've purchased in Jan 2022, its not had a real test yet, but it cooled the room well. What surprised me was that it was very quiet, I measured circa 52-54db (with the cooling compressor running), which looking at some of the other ones, they seem much louder than this unit. I hope it stays at this level when I use it for several hours a day in summer.The unit is heavy (they all are) but I put this down to what appears to be high quality components. It is also on the large side, a fair bit larger than my old unit, but that was many years ago. Note, this unit does not have a heat pump for the warming function even though it stated that it did in the product detail.I'm really pleased with my purchase and got it for a great price from Amazon.

Works well to cool the room, only goes to 18C though, I didn’t check before buying but was hoping it would have gone to 16C.The window adapter did arrive broken but can only used for very small amount of window types.The remote control is terrible, mine has just broken which spurred me to do the room, it lights up but no text and nothing happens on the unit. Now I can’t find out a manual way to turn on sleep mode so bright blue lights will stay on all night.Is louder than expected in non sleep mode but I can sleep through so not to much trouble.The exhaust pipe is a big boy, I had to get a reduced to not make such a big hole in the wall.It’s good and works well but small touch ups would make it better

Seems well made but noisier than expected

I've had several portable a/c's over the years and this is by far the best. It feels solid quality, it's powerful but it's feature of compressor at half power and low fan when required, means it can be comparatively quiet, while still cooling. The lcd display on my remote is difficult to read, which is disappointing.

Satisfied with machine. Could have gone for the more powerful 12btu version but I snapped this up on special offerYou set it on the LCD screen at lower than ambient temperature and when it reaches target temperature it shuts down. The lowest you can set it for is 18c but that's fine as 21 or 22c is normal room temperature. When ambient temperature was 24c it reduced to 21c. How low the temperature will drop depends on ambient temperature and size of room. I used it in a 4x6 metre room. The noise didnt bother me but then I'm not a sensitive soul9btu is adequate and has the advantage of lower initial cost, lower electricity and noise

I was somewhat disappointed that this machine will only go as low as 18 degrees. I really feel the heat and was hoping for somewhere around 10 - 15 degrees. Also the hose is always coming off because it just pushes in. The window adapter is pointless unless you have sash windows and who has sash windows in the UK? I may return the product.

Works a treat. Brings room temperature down very quickly. Silent mode works well at night, just a bit noisy when the compressor kicks in.

Remote controls controll functions in a weird way so I find I end up getting up to do it manually so I can be sure what setting is being used.Update, I've gotton used to the remote now over time.The air con seems to work when using the dehumidifier which is quite strange
