Product description: The biggest function of the hydration backpack is not to place a camera, a cell phone, or a wallet, but to allow you to drink water whenever you want to drink. The lightweight design and stable system on the back allows you to forget a bag on your back. The backpack's carrying system targets the back, the back of the neck and the shoulders, allowing the weight and inertia of the backpack to be evenly dispersed. Not only is it comfortable, but it also provides good stability. When you are riding or hiking, it can safely rest behind you without bounce. One star shy...
Let's start positive, I do like the bag itself. It has an insulated pouch for ur hydration pack so ur water stays COLD, it's a beautiful tan color, its small, lightweight, has molle attachments (if ur into that) has the sternum clip (my personal favorite feature) it makes a huge difference. Now the negative & the biggest negative, they negative that knocked a star off my review...the hydration pack itself. Absolutely junk. 1st off it doesn't have a stop valve. So the time I went to connect the house to the pack itself & I didn't secure it in place, oh boy the water just started flowing & all over the inside of the bag -_- I took the pack out & luckily I had another pack (a tried & true goody) I slipped that one in & was gone. My water was cold all day even into the next day. Also the original hydration pack itself has the huge screw top & when u go to drain the water out u can't do it completely becuz of where that screw lid is placed. It's a pain & I don't have time 4 all that.If this is ur 1st camel pack, the bag itself is a great investment but be prepared to purchase a new hydration pack. The "bagpack" its self isn't very big. But the outside compartment Carrie's the essentials I need when walking around town with 2 little kids. And lately I've been using this backpack to carry around travel needs. Exp: hairspray, flatirons, body spray, brushes. Basically anything long & slender. Which leaves more room in my travel bag. A win win. Also mine came with the USA patch which some customers said theirs didn't, it's a shame cuz I tore mine off & replaced it with a Cali state flag tactical patch instead

Great product - a bit too small for my needs
This is a good quality product. Haven't had any zippers break or anything like that. Its comfortable and durable. I've spent a good 200 hours with this pack on me across 2 summers. The fact is, the pack is just too small for my needs. You can fit a decent amount of drink bottles in it, but not much else. I have actually 5 or so 16 oz water bottles plus a DSLR camera but thats pushing it. I wish it was just a bit better.I have not used the bladder yet surprisingly. I thought I would, as my hikes are during intense heat usually. But I really don't see the advantage. It would be more space efficient. Just never tried it.Pro Tip: Buy a cool patch and stick it on the front of this to make it yours!

AWESOME
LOVE this pack. Took this pack on a road trip out to Yellowstone where I went hiking for very long and short periods of time. The backpack held up and was lightweight. The water in the bladder stayed pretty cold through the hike but we were at high elevation with little humidity. I was able to pack gear and snacks in the pack. It also felt comfortable to wear even for extended periods of time and during strenuous activity.

Securing leftover strapping
Being a fairly small person I cannot complain about fit, haven’t found any packs, hydration or otherwise to fit me well. However, what I found perplexing is where they are not the usual elastic tie downs to secure left over strap after you have made all your adjustments? I had to use black velcro to do this.I have yet to figure out how to get the valve off the drinking end to give a thorough cleaning either? It still fits me better then my actual military ACU hydration pack.....
