GeoSafari Jr Kidscope
My little niece and nephew are loving this item! It’s a really fun toy with loads of slides showing all the little things. The toy is build pretty well, made of a strong plastic which is easy to clean between use and should last a good while. Would be good to be able to get some more slides maybe as once you’ve sort of viewed them it starts to get a little boring. Overall it’s a good educational toy!

Defective out of the box
Bought this for my son's birthday and stored it until then. He opened it and was so excited but unfortunately the light didn't work so the entire product was a waste. Can't return it because it is "out of the return window" so it turned out to be a bit of a sad day for him and us. Don't buy this as a gift in advance. The quality itself was also a little bit disappointing for the price.

Great magnification toy for little aspiring scientists!
This looked like a really cool scientific-inspired toy that is more interesting than your standard boring toy. It's certainly not a microscope but moreso a magnifying toy which you can use with the given slides or other objects that will fit. It's nice to have an educational toy we can explain and inspire them to think differently with.Pros:• Simple and easy to use: no set up required and self explanatory• Super engaging: it's a really smart idea, and a good way to get kids to contemplate how tiny things fit into their environment• Range of images: each image belongs in a set, and the set can be found on one disc. You put the disc on the light dial, and then voila! Up close with a bug wing or a gemstone which is pretty clear too• Informative: comes with a little fact book to accompany the images• Adjustable focus: this is a great way for kids to get more imvolved and understand depth of focus• Storage drawer: there's a smart little drawer on the base of the microscope to store the viewing discs to protect them and keep them in one placeCons:• The discs are a little flimsy, and i think that they could get scratched if they are not taken care of• You can't adjust the nose width of the lenses• Batteries not included (3xAAA)• Lenses don't magnify too much (3 times), so don't expect this to be like a proper microscopeOverall this toy is well-built, well-designed and fun to use too. I had a great time explaining all the little things to my nephew and it was interesting for the little ones as well as my older niece. It's a great start to get them into science whilst they're young and seemed to keep them entertained for a while. Definitely good to teach your child patience and attention to detail, but no, it's not a microscope so if that's what you want look elsewhere as this is definitely more of a toy to get them used to the concept of small objects and magnification.
