The best quality food I've been able to find in years of searching! My chihuahua loves this food and has also been able to drop 3 pounds and get into a healthy range again! This is after having issues with her pancreas. We will definitely be keeping her on this for maintenance since she loves it so much and because it's so healthy for her!

I finally found a food that is great for my poor senior foster dog. The food she was on gave her stomach issues all the time and although it was a good quality food, it was not good for her pancreatitis. Because Merrick Grain Free Dry Dog Food (Healthy Weight) is low in fat, she is finally having solid stool! And she loves it!

Great dog food, sizing is good and it's an all around great dog food. I was surprised to see that they put glucosamine in the food and my dog just developed an intolerance for that. Still, a great dog food!

She didn't care for this flavor as much as the Merrick Classic Small Breed chicken recipe, although she did eat it most of it. I think she must have seen the package one day that said "healthy weight recipe"..and decided it was diet food...good quality food, none the less but probably not as much flavor.

My four year old dog has gained some weight and I researched the options for a better dog food to help her lose some weight. She is a picky eater, but I had found a dog food she liked; however, she was gaining weight even though I was feeding her less. I was afraid she was getting more fat and less protein with her regular dog food. She did not care for the first healthy weight brand of food I tried. This was my second option and she ate it as soon as I put it in her bowl. It's too soon to know if this (and more exercise) is going to help her lose weight, but I'm hopeful.

Great food. Our dog first loved it & eat it for about a year, but for many months he is not keen about to eat it at all. Every dog in park loved this food and eat it all like treats ! Accept our dog, who doesn't even wanna touch it anymore. I had to order him even better kind & even healthier, which don't do any tests on animals. So will not be ordering this one anymore as I care for animals too much.

Please be aware that Purina owns this brand of dog food. I bought it recently for my dogs and both of them have been very ill with stomach upset (including a lot of throwing up) since they started eating it.I've fed Merrick to my dogs over the years and they always responded well, but the last time I bought it was about a couple of years ago.Purina purchased the brand in 2015 and there's a possibility the quality of ingredients has changed since it's a large company with margins to make. I will never buy it again since both of my dogs suffer after eating it.

My miniature dachshund gains weight if she glances in the direction of a treat. She also refuses to exercise, and taking her for a walk is like dragging a brick around on a leash. She has about a pound of extra weight on her. I started her on this food about a month ago and can already see her waist slimming down. She's very picky but scarfs this down no problem!
