Great dog friendly design
Beautifully made and substantial. My dog responds to wearing the collar without correction. I'm pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness without discomfort, when properly used. I do not yank, pull, or use the collar aggressively - ever. My dog walks by my side and does not pull. There is gentle pressure if he is motivated by his high prey drive and he immediately relaxes. I have used a choke collar only once and avoided pain or resistance, but I knew there was potential of injury. Replaced the choke with this pinch collar - prongs are short and dull - no concern about injury. My dog does not test this collar and associates collar with adventure and eagerly accepts wearing it.

Form and Function Combined Nicely
These are beautiful collars, no doubt. For purposes on how well this collar controls our dog:--On a scale of 1 to 3, where ONE represents an ordinary chain / choke collar, and THREE represents a Prong Collar with actual prongs, I rate this collar a TWO. It DOES control our dog, more than a choke chain, but less than the actual Herm Sprenger Prong collar. That is just OUR particular dog. And he is trained to voice, hand, ecollar, and has been for many years.I would still get this new collar – it is beautiful, very functional, and has its place in the training world.I rate it a full 5 stars, for quality, functionality, and visual attributes. Any other dog would have a different level of sensitivity.

Saving My Sanity
We recently rescued a 45 lb shepherd/lab mix who is terrified of people, particularly men. We live in a busy downtown area where we have to pass literally hundreds of people even on short walks. Once she's in terrified mode (usually about 10 steps out the front door), the frantic pulling, whining and darting every which way begins. There is nothing I can say, do and no treat wonderful enough to get her attention back. It's been exhausting and frustrating. Our dog behaviorist recommended this exact collar and it has worked wonders. Now when she hits the end of the leash she stops short, so I can make it through the busy areas to her favorite quiet park without having my arm ripped out of the socket and random passerbys staring and shouting out dog training advice ("Have you ever watched The Dog Whisperer?? You should watch it!!). Once we're in a calm, quiet area where I have her attention, the collar helps me work on proper walking behaviors with her. She's definitely showing small increments of progress.I no longer dread taking her out and have some hope that we actually might break through her fear issues BEFORE I keel over from exhaustion. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you have the right tools.

The dog doesn’t pull as hard
I am fostering a very physically strong and strong willed dog. With this collar I can walk her and even could control her when other dog’s came at us fast. It’s not as scary looking as the other prongs so people don’t look at her like she’s a monster. She still pulls a bit but she’s learning she controls the pinch and is doing much better.

I enjoy walking my dogs again!
Started with a standard pinch collar but decided to try the neck techs because they look amazing and not as "agressive". These things work like a charm, solid construction. No need to worry about missing rubber tips or links getting bound up like traditional pinch collars. I can walk both of my dutch shepherds without incident with these on (I have one car chaser dog and this has allowed me to walk him without fear of him lunging). Wishing they made the martingale style neck-tech in black. Dont hesitate to spend the extra money these are made to last. Also, please learn how to properly fit and use these to get the most out of them.

Horrible...
Absolutely horrible product. A real pain in the butt to put on and take off. Returned it and bought their Herm Sprenger Neck Tech in a bronze color. The Neck Tech model is easy on and off, easy to resize and make smaller and doesn't look at all like a prong collar. Just looks like a very exotic metal collar and you can't tell it is a prong.I would not recommend the martingale version.

We love this collar
We love this collar. For the past year and a half we were using a regular training collar for classes and as instructed by our trainers and trust me at 1st we were totally against it. But it was needed and if you learn how to use them properly they are great for training. We purchased this collar as a graduation from the regular training collar. The teeth are shorter so the correction is not as strong as it was when we were 1st training. I will say, this collar is very heavy so make sure your dog has a strong neck. This would not be suitable for smaller dogs, this is defiantly for medium sized and up dogs. It did take our guy about a week to get used to it and we do not leave it on his all of the time - we generally only use it for classes or all day outings. As far as craftsmanship - it's all stainless and very well put together. The teeth are not sharp, the are smooth and rounded edges. They do make one with a quick release - depending on your hand strength you may want to check that one out as this one is a screw on lock. Which we like better because we know it's not coming off.

Elegant collar
I love this collar. My big boy gets lots of compliments when he wears this one. One comment was that it looked “industrial”. It is solidly made, crafted to last a lifetime. It’s not inexpensive, but we’ll worth what I paid for it.
