Amazing Value For Such Fit and Finish
Boker has been a name known in the cutlery world for generations and with good reason. The Tree Brand logo is a mark of the excellent German quality one would expect. For less than the price of a Case knife (which is hit and miss), you will get upgraded D2 steel, excellent walk, excellent talk, and a perfectly centered blade crafted in Germany. While I did see a few nicks on the brass around the inside of the bolster area, this is more than forgivable for a knife that costs less than $50 at the time of this review. The blade has very little play to it, the lock snaps open and the blade falls shut with a nice little click. The quasi drop point makes for a great EDC shape for most pocket knife tasks, and the slip design easily rides in the 5th pocket of my jeans. The bone handle is polished but no so much that it looks fake. You can feel the energy coming off it.I have literally hundreds of knives ranging from junk to nearly $1000, but if you are looking for a good quintessential "pocket knife", this is a fine example of quality tool you can always have on you and rely upon. It's not flashy. It's not tactical. It's just a good shape blade that won't close on your fingers when you find yourself needing to cut something. This was not my first Boker, and it certainly won't be my last.

Perfect Every Day Carry Knife
This is absolutely the nicest, and also most expensive, pocket knife in my small collection. The bolsters are just beautiful, and thicker than expected. The blade is very sharp and perfectly aligned. Outstanding workmanship. It is the perfect size for every day carry, but for now will be my "Sunday go to meet'n" knife. You get what you pay for with this gem.

It is perfect size.
The bone color is fantastic, the quality of steel is above average. Blade opens and closes perfectly. The edge sharp and durable. Love it. It's one of my favorite collections. The stability of the blade is greatThe knife fits perfectly in my pocket. Not so heavy that it bothers me. Great all around product.

Beautiful craftsmanship
First off.. bummer, price went down just after I purchased this.Secondly I am very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship of this knife. I was considering a custom Buck 501 (same size). It is more than twice the price. The stag is nice a thick providing perfect grip for my hands. Only negative thing was that the knife was absolutely filthy of grit and powder from the factory: so it requires cleaning and oil right away. This is my new EDC, just toss it in some jeans and start you day! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a genuine stag handle daily carry knife.

German Boker at a Great Price
I’ve been collecting Boker knives since the 1980s and decided to purchase this because first of all it’s a lockback, which isn’t as common with the German Boker’s, as they’ve always been known more for traditional slipjoint patterns. Also because you don’t see too many of them in white bone anymore. No telling when this will be discontinued, so purchase them while they are still available.Let me discuss the things I like about this model first. It comes in a very nice black box with a magnetic folding closure. Lockup is solid and tight. The white bone is smooth and gorgeous to look at. Blade is sharp and is the perfect size for most cutting tasks (I consider blades under 3” the sweet spot). It does have “Tree Brand” etched on one side which is not shown in the picture. Some reviewers did not like this–but I did. It’s a nice nod to Boker’s legacy and their logo which features the Chestnut tree. And most of the classics had this etching on the blade as well. The knife fits nicely in the pocket, and of course the price is right. Now the things I do not like. It is slimmer than I expected. Because of the smoothness of bone and the slim profile it feels a little slippery in the hand. This is a gentleman’s folding knife so I would only recommend for light use cutting and nothing too heavy. Another peeve is that it is listed in the wrong steel here. It is not 440C. I get the Boker catalogs every year and this knife is listed in the most current 2019 catalog as being 440A stainless steel. I’m not a steel snob, but I think buyer’s should know. Boker knives always etch 440C on the blade if they are manufactured in that higher quality steel. There is also something I feel I need to add and explain. I notice some confusion from many here as to where the knife is made. It is made in Germany. Boker Tree Brand knives are all made either in Germany or Argentina. If it was stamped "Boker Arbolito", those are made in Argentina. The German knives are put into two categories which are distinguished apart by the shield with the Tree logo. If the shield says “SOLINGEN” on it, these are knives made in Solingen, Germany with German parts and materials. If the shield says “GERMANY” (as seen on this model), these are knives made at the same Boker factory in Solingen, Germany, but they are made with material/parts that were outsourced overseas. This means that the steel, the bone, and the brass was outsourced and then manufactured and put together in Germany. It is how they are able to get the cost down to under $40. Boker has been producing knives this way for the past decade.Because it is German made but with outsourced material I have noticed that it does not equal in fit/finish to the knives I own that have the “SOLINGEN” shield. I noticed the bone on mine does not seem like it was well rounded at the edges on both sides. One side was more rounded than the other. This was mentioned by other reviewers. It is not really noticeable unless you closely examine and in my opinion does not detract from the usefulness of the knife. I'm probably being a pickier than most but it is because I have been spoiled with some nicer Boker's in my collection.Overall it is still a good looking knife. I bought this to carry and use and I would recommend it for that–or for anyone looking for a nice gift. These are priced well and will not break the bank. Keep in mind that bone is a natural material and every knife will be a little different from the other. Am including pictures for those interested in seeing more detail.

Good looking knife
This knife is beautiful. It is well crafted and holds a sharp edge. I use it everyday as my go to tool for just about anything. I am a carpenter by trade and I promise you won’t go wrong with this knife.

Pretty knife that needs sharpening out of the box
Overall fit and finish is good. The edge was awful. Had to spend considerable time fixing the edge and sharpening. I had to start with a 400 grit stone to fix the uneven edge from choil to tip and remove deep grinding marks. It cuts well after finishing to a 6000 grit waterstone.
