About as good as it gets at any price
The sound quality rating is kind of redundant. This is a digital transfer, 0s & 1s. You either get signal or you don’t, no variation in sound quality. It’s really only analogue cables that sound quality can vary. This inexpensive cable will sound exactly as good as any digital coax at any price. What does matter however is build quality and this is excellent. This ensures a snug fit and will last and has great protection against interference but that’s usually not an issue for short runs anyways. This cable is high quality all the way around for those of you still duped into thinking super expensive digital cables(digital-coax, optic, HDMI, etc) offer better sound than cheapies(they don’t). This Amazon Basics has all the materials and protection those high priced ones do and better than most quite frankly. That would be important for very long runs or if you have an outrageous amount of electronics going on or have it near a microwave or something. Either way your good here. This is highly durable, good looking cable, period. Why pay more?

It works and the cable is very flexible
So I will start off by saying that this Amazon Basics Digital Audio RCA Compatible Coaxial Cable works perfectly for me at its intended job which is to move digital data from a PC to a DAC, so there is 98% of the review right there. I bought it to replace a 'higher-end' digital coax cable. Sure the 'higher-end' cable I had does have better build quality and a thicker cable, but at the end of the day both cables do their job EXACTLY the same and there is no audio difference between them. That said, build quality is perfectly fine on this cable, especially for the price. My specific reason for buying this cable is that it is very flexible compared to my old cable. I use it to connect to a Geshelli Labs DAC that has the SPDIF connectors on the front of the unit and I wanted a cable that could do a quick 180 degreee turn and head to and past the rear of my DAC and onto my PC. This cable does that perfectly.

Surprising quality at a reasonable price.
I bought these because I needed some better matched interconnects, most of my quality pieces being already in use. They appeared to have the look of a well made cable, and the price was certainly cheap enough to try them out. I am not disappointed in any way with these, they have a very nice tight connection, good flexible jacket and a generally nice feel. I rated them at five stars because after having worked in an audio/video store I can comfortably say that I have not directly experienced better results from much (MUCH) more expensive interconnects. That is not to say that it cannot be shown via measurement, but I could not discern higher fidelity from cables costing many times the money.

Good cable, great price
There's not really much to say about these. It's a cable, but cables of course are all built with different quality. With that in mind, here's my thoughts. First off is the weight and feel. For the price, I would say it's surprisingly good. Almost on par with a pair of Rocketfish cables I purchased from Best Buy for $30. The gold connectors on the end, are nice as well. And clamp pretty tight when plugged in, good for not accidentally pulling the cables loose. As for the wiring itself, I can't really judge it. But I have these running from a 4K TV to a $400 Sound Blaster DAC. And I haven't noticed any degradation in sound quality. Would gladly recommend!

Perfect Cable for My Subwoofer Application
I got this to conduct the signal from my AV receiver to a powered subwoofer. I knew going in that my biggest concern would be my cable picking up a 60 Hz ‘signal’ from the subwoofer’s power cable. The beauty of coaxial cables is that it’s virtually impossible to induce a current in them, so I knew I wanted coax for my connection. For my particular application, I couldn’t have asked for a better cable than the Amazon Basics. I wanted a cable that would lie inconspicuously against the baseboard, and the Amazon cable does just that. The outer jacket and dielectric are obviously very soft, and the core conductor braided, so I probably wouldn’t want to try to pull this through a wall. For what I needed, though, a flexible cable is definitely preferred. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The quality is as good as cables that cost 2-3x as much. If your biggest concern is avoiding crosstalk, and a secondary concern is having a cable that will stay where you want it to lie, then don’t hesitate to get the Amazon Basics cable.

Works great with composite video
I started a project converting my VHS tapes to digital. These cables work great bringing over video and audio from my camcorder to my laptop. The video and audio is clear and looks just the video preview I see on my camcorder. I used them with the white and yellow slots (only ones available on the camcorder) but they can work with the red slots on other devices too. The only complaint is the cables are very big and bulky (both the plug head and the width of the actual cable) so be careful if your composite device has r/y/w slots that do not stick out far enough.

Works well with my digital-to-analog converter
I have a wonderful Onkyo Integra receiver my dad bought for me in 1986 as a high school graduation gift. I wanted to hook it up to my Blu-ray player so that I could watch films with stereo sound. No need to buy a whole new digital sound system when I already have a flawlessly functioning, quality, Japanese-made receiver. I needed this cord as it did not come with the analog-to-digital adapter I'd purchased. I am satisfied with this cord and with the outcome.

I bought this to solve an odd issue I've had since upgrading my TV. Basically I have my old Sony AV receiver connected to the new TV via HDMI ARC for 5.1 surround on Netflix ect. However I also have a Sony Blu-Ray player connected into the amp via HDMI for DTS HD ect, this works flawlessly until I want to turn off the TV and use the Blu-ray player as a CD player, after about 5mins the HDMI signal keeps cutting on and off rendering CD listening useless unless I also keep the TV powered on :( However I then remembered that the Blu-Ray player has a digital coax output and that my amp has a coax input, coax fully supports lpcm uncompressed sound in stereo at 44.1khz so should get the full potential from CD's :) so I ordered a 2.44 meter version of this Amazon basics cable and plugged it in hoping it would solve my strange issue... Brilliant it does, now all I need to do when I want to listen to a CD is turn on the Sony amp and Blu-Ray player and switch my amp onto it's Coax input and straight away the amp displayed stereo lpcm 44.1khz, but best of all when I want to watch a Blu-ray all I need to do is turn on the TV and flick the amp back over to hdmi and I still get HD surround sound as the Sony Blu-Ray player auto switches the audio output back to hdmi enabling full hd audio. So now I can listen to music without the TV on burning up power for no reason and the sound from CD's is every bit as great as when using HDMI :) In short if your after a really decent digital coax cable that won't hurt your wallet but still deliver great quality, buy this and be happy :)
