Mayde Wheel Covers - 18-in Replacement Hub Caps (Set of 4, Gloss Black)

After one of the other drivers in my house (not me, of course) scratched one of the rims of our new Tesla, I started searching for options to save the other 3 rims but always ended up in what to do with the scratched rim. I found these covers in the amazon store and decided to give it a try. They for perfectly and they cover the whole rim without affecting the aesthetics of the car. The rims look great. My son (one of the other other drivers in the house) scratched another rim and did damage the cover. The covers do get damaged and they do not protect the rim. The rim does get scratched. But they do the cover the damaged rim even over the edge with the tires. This solution beats buying new rims or trying to get them repaired. For what is worth I highly recommend them.

Great value! these covers have a glossy black finish and snap onto the aero rims similar to the aero covers. I like the look of these and the added protection they give to the wheels. Luckily I've never scuffed the wheels but these would be great for anyone trying to cover existing curb rash and are thick enough to absorb any future scuffing. with all four at $99, it's cheaper to replace these than to repair a rim. came back to buy another set as backup but they're sold out! (as of 07/14/21). I suppose I can get the chrome ones and paint them in the interim my one worry was whether they'd fit on the 2021 rims (the 2021 rims are very slightly different) but, fortunately, they fit perfectly Took them off after a few days and no damage to the rim underneath (pic 3)

Do yourself a favor and save $250. Instead, spend this money and repaint your rims if you are after black color. These caps at first sight look amazing - matte, clean, and black. they seem to be durable in the box. However, after installing them (i made SURE I took utmost care when installing those and nothing was damaged) 1 day later, one of them cracked and a piece fell off while I was parking. I went on to a curb (not touching the rims) and I guess they cracked from the pressure of the tire. I emailed the support and they agreed to send me 1 replacement. After that, they sent me another email saying that it is no longer in stock and I had to wait. A few days ago, when washing my car, I noticed another one had cracked and now does not sit flush on the wheel. I emailed them again aaaandd... no reply.

These look great and dress up the wheels very well. See photos, the ThinSGO Tesla Model 3 Y S X Wheel Caps are a tight fit and look great. Yes, these wheel covers are not flush or thin at the edges. This is partly because the outer inside edge already has foam tape installed. Maybe over time that seats more and the cover may not stick out as much. I would agree its less than a quarter inch. As others have written, that's only noticeable from the side, and more so if that kind of thing is going to annoy you. After curb rash on two of my rims, I decided this was a better look. Plus the Gun Metal Grey is nice option compared to black IMHO. One caution, if you go with the center caps I used, look at the back and seat or insert one wire end into the wheel cover, not both. Then work gently thumb pressure around until the center cap snaps in.

These look amazing. Totally made our new to us 2018 Model 3 Long Range AWD look like new. Super easy to install. Covered the old rims curb rash areas from the previous owner.

Look fantastic!, and continue to look fantastic over the years, HOWEVER they eventually make squeaking and creaking noises when driving thru parking lots, or pulling into driveway. It's rather funny given the likeness to a raunchy hotel bed, but is really annoying and downright embarrassing on the whole as people laugh and point at you. I've had them pop off twice before as well, but recovered and put back on. Finally I lost one again, and so now sporting the ultimate hooptie Tesla ghetto vibe w/ mismatched wheels and squeaky roll...and I don't even live in Detroit anymore! So now at the crossroads of deciding whether to purchase another $200 of the glorious looking, eventually squeaky pigs, or just embrace my inner Motor City all over again, and ride it out with cheap, tarnished pride.

They didn’t cost much and were incredibly easy to put on. It changes the look of your in an instant and I don’t see why more people haven’t bought something like this for the model 3. I just got the car and it had the 18” aero wheels on it. Obviously nobody cares for that look so I was just going to take them off and leave the actual silver wheel. Then I was on a Tesla accessories spree as anyone would being a new Tesla owner, and found these. They snap right on, and the only thing you have to add are the caps which you can find on Amazon for cheap. It’s a glossy black plastic cover so it’s nothing crazy but it changes the look instantly. I was worried about the reviews that mentioned scratches but I haven’t had any issues. I see it as a rim protection cover honestly. You don’t worry about scratching your actual rim on curb. That’s just my 2 cents. I really like these.

Easy installation, looks choice. Update, August, 2023: Initially, had no issues whatsoever with these wheel covers. They still look fantastic and often get complimented. But within the past few months, one of the covers has begun to rattle. Inspecting, it seems like the cover is too big, has too much play and shakes against the wheel. The unit is undamaged, the clips that hold it in place are still intact, but it produces an irritating and loud noise while driving. I also recommend removing the covers a couple times a month and cleaning the wheel. Dirt and grime build up in between the cover and the wheel.
