Defective tire blew out due to flaw at bead
My tire is defective, but the defect showed up right after it was too late to return. The bead area on one side did not have consistent rubber on it, so the casing ripped away from the bead and caused a blowout after not many miles. I did not over inflate, in case you're wondering. Upon closer inspection, the rubber was applied unevenly around the whole bead and the casing is exposed in a few places.

This was the best puncture resistant 16x1.35" tire I could find, I thought!
This was the best puncture resistant 16x1.35 tire I could find, I thought! Note that it is important to match the width properly. If your wheel is measured in a decimal you need to buy a tire that does the same. Thus mine is a decimal 1.35 width. I could probably get away with a width of 1.25 or 1.5, but a tire with a 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 would not work. That seems strange as 1.5 = 1 1/2, but the difference is American or not and they measure diameters differently so the 1 1/2 diameter is actually different than the 1.5 diameter. After about a month of use I got a flat. I replaced the tube with a Schwalbe tube and it happened again and my sidewall became damaged. I really wanted these to work. Now I am wondering how I can fill up my tubes with rubber to avoid these repeated flats.

Great Tire, Available In 590-42
I have an old bomb 3 speed which I use for my commuter. In the past, I have used the inexpensive Kenda K40 and similar tires, but this winter has been particularly rough on the roads in my location, to the extent that I was getting a lot of punctures from bits of belt from car tires that had been damaged to the point of shedding. Schwalbe is EXCELLENT at making tires for several of the less popular sizes, and in the case of EA3 / ISO 590, there was a choice of either the common 590-37, or the 590-42. I opted for the latter. While a bit heavier, that doesn't really matter to my tank of a bike. It is a bit slow to accelerate and heavy to climb with an old Columbia Sports 3, in any event. Once rolling, these are SMOOTH, and roll very well. They seem to carry speed much better than the less expensive tires I had been using, but, really, the wind direction, did I have my second coffee, etc, are all probably more likely to affect my progress more. The best part- they seem impervious to the debris the city streets in my area are full of. Glass, bits of cars, etc. Not having to change tubes in winter- PRICELESS.Edit- 1 November, 2015; At 2200 miles, these are still like new, and no punctures. Hope to have another uneventful fall and winter with them.

These tires are the best ever for long lasting and preventing sharps from deflating ...
These tires are the best ever for long lasting and preventing sharps from deflating the tire...I get 4 to 5 thousand miles every year on the 20inch and 3 thousand on the 16 inch on my Catrikes ...the 27 inch does even better ...they're really hard to change though!

Schwalbe Tire
I ordered tire for 20-inch wheel and received 12 and returned for 20-inch with no problem...love Schwabe tires. Return and reorder were a snap. Not like the Pedro wrench vendor.

Most Robust Tires You'll Find For a Brompton !
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful tires! They are quite heavy, but are unbelievably rugged. After many flats, I put these on my Brompton and haven't had so much as 10 lbs of air loss in months. They roll just fine too. You'll even sit a little higher.

False description - the tyres have an inaccurate size marking.
I bought the 26" x 1:5/8" and they are far too large. These tyres are either a knock off or have been incorrectly marked. The quality looks OK so I suspect the latter.Either way they do not fit and have wasted a week of my time buying, waiting, returning and so on.I'd strongly recommend AGAINST buying from this source again - other customers have complained of the same problem and yet the suppliers are still sending them out. This looks like deliberate mis-selling to try to get rid of substandard products. No wonder they're cheap!.

The right tyre for commuters
Marathon plus are a great tyre for robustness and longevity. Not the fastest roller on the books, but great for most uses. This is a great price for one (Onogo, £18.20 for a 42/590).Be aware this is a 590, not 559 - this isn't clear from the title. Make sure it's the size you need!

Hochwertiger Reifen
