I had high hopes for this cake slicer since I cut into frozen cakes and other slicers I've tried aren't strong enough. These slid off the knife while I was cutting so it was a constant struggle to get through the cake. Both colors are exactly the same. You're stuck with the thicknesses marked. Not good for cutting off the thin top layer of a vanilla cake for example to get a nice pale color.

I got these to use with my wife's new 18" Cake Knife. They worked perfect, the knife is mainly doing the work yet these perfect measuring tools work flawlessly and she smiled the whole time using this combination. I want to say I think getting a quality 18" cake knife will give you the best results.

I tried these, it's a hassle. I do much better just eyeballing it. They were hard to get on the knife and in many of my cases, the area between was no where near wide enough. I kept them, not sure why, but it's a waste especially if you bake professionally.

I've been doing a lot of Keto baking, including bread, and decided to make burger buns, too. Cutting them with a traditional knife didn't divide them evenly, so I searched Amazon for help. Two sets of these little guys for $9.99?! YOU BETCHA! They work fantastically and cut exactly the thickness desired, every time. Money well spent.

I've spent too much money trying to find a good cake leveler. This crazy simple idea is fabulous. I could not be more thrilled with the result. The longer the knife the better. I don't know how you could be disappointed with this product!
