Works awesome!
Heats our bathtub to awesome temperatures and thaws a 55gallon drum of water with about three inches of ice on the sides and at least 5 inches on top in a few hours. In other words it works great and we will rebuy when our current one has heated its last tub.

Mechanical and electrical improvements advised
This product heats water as promised but…1. Safety: An electric water heater that warns you of shock when touching the water it’s in, is a warning to stay away from the product itself.2. Melting danger: The heating element touches the metal tube on the opposing sides making those as hot as the heating element itself (see close-up picture) and prone to melt what it comes in touch with.3. Rolls around: The round shape makes it tricky to keep the device in position where the heating element won’t touch the rubber (see first picture). A simple, square-shaped plastic spacer on both ends could have created the safety space to prevent accidental melting of your pool floor or whatever the heater leans against.4. No switch: 1.5kW plug-in/unplug in your power outlet. Per manual it also requires that the heater is submerged first, before plugging it in. Wiggling its stiff power cord, will make the heater roll out of position and now you can’t officially reposition it, because you’re not supposed to touch the water while the heater is powered. See the conflict? To prove my point, the plug pins show melting points after only being plugged-in three times. For electrical safety reasons this should be equipped with switchable GFC-plug.5. The included thermometer isn’t water proof and should have rather been a thermostat built _into_ the device.I would not buy this again after reading my own review.

Not for big pools
Got a few of these to warm my pool. Didn't warm nothing and when you try to use more then one at a time they blow the breaker. This works great for warming small buckets of water and that's about it.

Nice
We'll see. I bought and searched for a pool heater and this is what I settled on. And there's nothing at all wrong with the item. It works great, but you cannot drop it down in a big pool and expect that you're gonna see a difference right away because you won't now if you put it in a small bucket of water. It's going to have that water boiling in no time. But AA large pool, it's just unrealistic, not in the kind of time frame that you would want. In order to go swimming, the package arrived. In very good condition, I would definitely purchase this item from this seller again if I needed it. But I would've appreciated knowing that it would not work to drop it down into a swimming pool. And heat the pool because so many 1000 gallons of water are not gonna be warmed up like that. Unfortunately, thank you very good product, though. Worked well

Works well when used properly and within expectations.
This little guy is perfect for what I needed it for.I have a medium size inflatable pool that I bought for my son. We have well water which is very cold coming out of the hose. I also refill the pool every few days to keep it clean. We have a solar cover that also helps heat the pool and together they can bring the temp from 63 to 98 in a few hours with sunlight. Now I will say to make sure you don't submerge the entire thing in water. It's meant to go down the full length of the metal rod without submerging the top portion. I did accidently submerge it fully a few times and all that happened was it tripped my outlet. After resetting it worked just fine. Also note if you have an above ground pool or bigger I would look elsewhere. I'm not saying it won't heat your pool but I would expect it to take a full week to heat a few degrees. Either that or you would need multiple of these. I would suggest looking at solar options or paying for an actual pool heater. Overall for medium inflatable pools and below I would recommend.

Heats up fast
I bought this to heat up my daughter bouncy house pool. I didn't use it directly in the pool because I was afraid of ruining a $700 bouncy house. What I did was fill up a 5 gallon bucket and then pour it into pool. It took so long allot of back and forth. I plan on just getting more of these and just putting it straight into the pool. It'll save time, energy, and won't risk spilling hot water all over. I highly recommend it heats up very quickly. Totally worth the money

Didn't work
I dont normally write reviews but this thing was terrible. It kept tripping my circuit breaker and didn't work. When I took it out of the water container it was melted at the top. Be sure to read the fine print, though it's advertised as a heater for water for animals, it states it is used best in pools so there's that.
