Nice for the price! I'm pleased with this hidden keyed storage device. Its theft deterrence lies in its disguise much more than its locked box, although that would keep young children out and perhaps someone who wanted to do a quick grab of a small unsecured item in a drawer or jewelry box. It has a good amount of space to store small items or documents. When placed on a bookshelf among other books this does appear to be just a book, until you pick it up and examine it. I chose the "Italy" cover in the keyed version. The cover is very pretty and the spine has a title on it, unlike a few of the designs. I didn't want a lock with a battery. This has a simple keyed mechanical lock and two keys. The cover is very realistic and mine was attached securely. The plastic page edges look realistic except up close. It was packaged well and arrived undamaged. It's not a safe and not meant to be one. For any visitors or others who might have sticky fingers this would likely prevent such thefts. Would I keep the Hope Diamond in this? No, but it's much better than hiding items in your sock drawer, or stashing them in random hidden places before you go on vacation and then forgetting where you put them.

I like having a lock box for cheap, doesn’t really look like a book, but I think she’s super cute. Seems durable enough to me.
