Factory Part
Perfect fit. Disassemble battery and trigger end. Pull the red, green, and white wire terminals apart. They will have sleeves on them and the part slides on. Takes one hour. Unless you’re lazy or slow. It’s pretty easy.

Didn't fit or work. Not a replacement for the original.
didn't fit like like the original part or work like it was supposed to. Very frustrating.We had to but another trimmer. Trashed the replacement.

Pain to disassemble but saves you from buying a new one
You have to remove the 16 or so screws that hold the main housing (15 need a T15 and 1 at the battery end needs a T10 torx). Once inside, find the black cord and disconnect the one plastic connector and then cut and peel the shrink tube off the other 3 wires (mine is a model# 1620 and colors are blue, yellow and brown).Once the shrink tube is removed, pull the wires away from each other to disconnect. Remove 2 Philips screws holding the black cable down. Now you can fish the black cable through the pipe and put that new connector on (what a pain).Now put everything back the way it was. I already had heat shrink tube available so I did that but I suppose wrapping the metal connectors in electric tape would be ok, too.I didn’t think I’d have to mess with wires like that to replace the connector assembly but there you go - now you know.

Great Replacement Part
Took a bit longer to get than other companies selling on Amazon, but the delay was worth it. Part fit great, high quality and sturdy. Was not the easiest to replace, but can be done in about 45-60 minutes.

Part is fine. No instruction on how to install it
So my eGo trimmer broke. I ordered a new connector only to find out that I could not replace it unless I took it completely apart wiring and all. There were no instructions on how to replace it and I could not find any on line. If this happens to you find a reputable person that will do it.

You would think there would be instruction done how to you have to take The trimmer completely apart to add this part how about designing a replacement part a clamp style that can fit around it instead of having to take the whole damn thing apart
