Uno and phase 10 the Fam can play for hours. Never tried Flip Bundle but will to check it out since it is from the game company- figure it has to be good. If you play Uno especially-make sure to tell the ppl sitting around you that you will go back to be family and friends after the game. See if you can get some timid ones sitting on either side of you. A cohort if you're able. Now if you want a real homewrecker, try Scattergories, but only if you really want some scorched earth and animosity sometimes stretching decades. Picture this, Autumn of 2003, the Letter is B, the categories: Sports team: Boston Celtics. Restaurants: Boston Market. Places to visit: Boston. Bodies of Water: Boston Harbor. Candy: Boston Bake Beans (and wanted triple points!!!) Sure it was my twin bro and his future wife giving those answers but it didn't stop me from disowning them. Quarter of a century + later, still chaps my a$$. Perhaps you'll need a good judge to officiate, just make sure that person doesn't cave under pressure, doesn't mind a good shunning or is overly acceptable to persuasion tactics. Yes, we tried with my uncle and no he isn't allowed back. The point being, get these games instead of Scattergories. Want to try a fun new rule in Uno? Try a lil something I picked up in Germany. We call it German rules. Goes a lil something like this- you can throw down the exact same card as the one at the top of the discard pile at any time during the game and it skips to you. So, say someone lays down a Yellow 3 card, if you have that in your hand, quickly slap it down on top of the pile BEFORE the person who's turn it actually is goes. There are only 2 of any same color and number in the deck, so it doesn't get too out of control. Keeps ppl on their toes and makes it fun. Sure, there may be some hurt feelings at the time but you'll still be family and friends later, unlike that other aforementioned game.
