I recommend these. They work great and price is good.

Good value for the money, and they work well. I might need to order a new pair in the next year or two. The crimped loops are slowly slipping, making the loops more and more difficult to work with. Granted, I fly a flag (one or another of many) every day, so they are under a bit of stress in the high canyon winds that we can get here. Would I recommend them, very much so. Great to keep your flag flying nice and tidy.

I may need to deduct a star when I have used these nylon beads for a while. Since this is my first time with a flag pole and a beaded retainer ring I can not report on durability after a few days of use.. That will be said in an update at a later date. What I can say is that each string must weigh about 6 ounces each, my unscientific method was to compare both strings to a 15 ounce can of peas on a balance board, the peas were heavier. I fitted one string to my flag, a 4 x 6 nylon one with grommets on a vertical pole for 24/7 display. The wind is a steady 12mph with gusts to 21 mph at the time of this writing. I am pleased the flag is able fly without wrapping the pole and should the wind be any stronger I could add the second string of beads. If there be any other info I can add, I'll be back!

A couple of years ago I replaced my worn-out flagpole with a 25 foot one. At that time, I purchased a set of retainer rings similar to these, but the cables were smaller in diameter and the beads were also less than half the size and it was a struggle getting the main flag up the pole as it would drag. Putting up 2 flags was ridiculous. Then the other day I had had enough and found these on Amazon. The beads are one inch in diameter and the diameter of the steel cables are larger as well. The beads themselves are also heavier than the other set I was using adding to the counterweight on the lower grommet holding the flag closer to the pole. Now hoisting the flag(s) up, down and half-mast are actually fun again. The other set was not a bad set as the quality was good, just not the right set for my flagpole. This set however is excellent in size, weight, quality and price not to mention, the white beads look great against the black flagpole. 5 Stars all day long for these rings.
