Why does this come with a 1/4 copper flare? It makes the tool appear used

Is this compatible with R-410A refrigerant?

Yes, I have used it for 410a. Just be sure that your flares are 45 degrees, they should be. Also 410 runs at higher pressures and most manufactures require the flare to be a larger diameter and deeper for a stronger joint and more surface area to seal the flare. This tool will do it.

Most 7/8 systems use brazed couplings or swaged.
