Great addition to my CNC machine...did not need the MDF board
I recently received my spoilboard in excellent condition. Inspired by an upgrade I saw online, I opted to enhance my setup by replacing the standard MDF piece. To do this, I purchased 8mm linear rod supports and matching 8mm rods.To ensure precise alignment, I clamped an aluminum ruler to my worktable and attached the linear supports and rods to the back of the two aluminum spoilboards. It's crucial to maintain a seamless connection between the spoilboards and keep the linear supports and rods perfectly aligned. As shown in the photos, the completed board looks great!A helpful tip: you may need to position the linear braces and rods as close to the edge as possible to accommodate the guide rail bearings and lead screw.

CNC 3018 upgrade
It was a perfect fit. You must follow the directions to make it work

Very nice but not all the holes line up

Fit perfectly, no problems installing
I put this on my 3018 pro and it fit perfectly. There was an ever so slight difference in the thickness of this and the original table but it was less than a 1/64th. You do lose some Z height because of the MDF but it has not limited me from doing anything so far. The extra length is worth the trade off for me.

NICE!
Great value, I posted my solution for fiber board that may warp in future. Sk12 rod holders from Amazon and 12 mm rods from Amazon. Removed fiber board. You need to reuse spacers and may need some bolts.

Hole spacing was incorrect.
The drilled holes on the MDF board were incorrect. The holes for the leadscrew pillow block were spaced 28mm apart. The pillow block on my recently purchased Sainsmart Prover 3018 has bolt holes that are 33.5mm apart. I chose to re-drill the holes rather than disassemble the entire unit again. The rest of the install was OK. The quality of the remaining pieces was very good.

PITA to put together bought worth it
I bought the sainsmart CNC 3018 Y extension and I bought this at the same time for a larger work area. Overall I am happy with it but the assembly was a nightmare. They do give a template to help you line up the nuts but when you screw them in you are flying blind. The problem is the nuts have a lot of slop in the groves and it makes it easy to cross thread them.Getting the board connected to the alum. wasn't too bad but getting the rails was the hard part. I thought I had it together right but I ended up having a couple of them cross threaded and they popped off in the middle of a job causing my work area to shift and ruining my project. I highly recommend doing scrap job like I did just in case.Tip: If you have something rigid that fits in the alum. groves to hold the nut in place, that helps greatly with the cross thread problemTip2: If one of the center nuts gets out of align trying to screw into, grab a large magnet, you can use it to reposition the nut without having to take the end ones in to get too. I had one of those magnet bowels you use to hold screws in. I am sure a speaker magnet would be strong enough as well.
