Please note, this is not a 1080p HD display. It's native resolution is 480x320, meaning that's the most detailed resolution as you will see. This screen is able to negotiate resolutions commonly used for HDMI screens (such as 1080p) with a device, and then scale the image it receives to the screen's native resolution to display it correctly. So you'll loose some detail when viewing video at 1920*1080. What makes this a handy screen is that you can plug it into most HDMI devices and just work, even though it's not HD. And, it looks pretty good -- but it's not rendering 1920*1020 in the end. Hope that helps.

its the resolution you the pi set for..up to the limits of the display 1920x1080..yes 480x320 to 1920x1080..works fine..the touch screen also works with GPIO..
