8 year old LOVED this
What a hit! Bought for our soon to be 8 year old grandson. About 3 hrs after we left we got a picture of him with his ferris wheel. He is exceptionally bright, according to his school, and his father is an engineer. It might be better for a 9 ir 10 year old, esp if no parents or older siblings will help. It would take me a week IF I was able to complete it at all!The package was on our porch with just a label on the box. No additional packing or box from Amazon. There wasn't scratch or tear on anything, unlike what people said in other reviews. Grandson was excited and happy to receive

This will blow your kids already creative mind!
The media could not be loaded. I can’t say enough about K’nex if your child loves building. I bought this set for my 7 year old son, and he goes wild with his creativity. He freestyles and builds other creations with it and I love how you can find other manuals on their website.

great gift- you need to find the instructions else where though
my 9 year old son LOVED this. BUT the instructions only come with the one set of instructions so you need to dig to find the other 2 sets. I wish I could recall where I got them from so I could post the link!!

Great gift for a 9 year old & 7 year old!
My sons loved K’nex when they were growing up. This K’nex purchase was a birthday gift for one of their sons. They all loved it! Put it together in about an hour. Added Lego characters as riders on the finished Ferris wheel. When they take it apart, they will be able to build a couple of other rides, but they’ll have to figure it out on their own without any directions because directions for the other two projects were not included. Maybe it’s a good thing…they can try to replicate or create something on their own.
