This is how it arrived - damaged on both sides! It was wrapped in a thin plastic and a thin layer of bubble wrap and a non-padded envelope. The board itself is incredibly flimsy and will not survive any knocks, much less if children bang it about or drop it on the floor. Absolutely not recommended, the quality of this product needs to be reassessed!! Very disappointed.

Little fingers work best with chalk as it has sufficient width and also because it writes from any angle without needing to sharpen. Also my kid can write as big as he wants. I use this with a low dust chalk and this works miracles. I can write multiple words simultaneously and show and compare and contrast between them together. If on fence, buy it without a thought. Best gift for my child.

Using this with both my kids who have fine motor issues. The board is helping my littlest learn and my 6 year old reinforce his writing to make sure he continues to focus on his writing.

It's not made of plastic. It's the only chalkboard that I could find that was made from calcium carbonate. The writing is clear and smooth. I got it to practice writing the Arabic letters. The lines help for the parts of letters that are written below as well as above the line. It takes the monotony out of practicing on paper. It makes it fun. This would also be great for what it's intended for - teaching youth to write their letters for printing and cursive letters.
