Envision yourself to be Samia, and dance to the old tunes. Many are faster than the newer style music, and the rhythms change more often. Some of the recordings are not tip-top, but the music is interesting and a must-listen for any true student of Raqs Sharqi.

Classic belly dance music
Classic songs that every belly dancer will- or should- recognize. Samia Gamahl and the music to which she danced should be included in every dancer's education. I teach classic American Oriental belly dance and this CD is a treasure both for my personal listening and for teaching.

Not much of a dance CD
This is a sleepier CD than I expected for it is mostly instrumental and the percussion is very soft. It is nice for background music and a few tracks are danceable. Overall, it was not what I had hoped for in this CD.

Beautiful Classical Egyptian Music
This CD is marvelously done. The recording quality is good, the sound is rich, and of course, the songs are prime examples of Classical Egyptian music. Beautiful for listening, great for dancing, couldn't be happier with it. :)
