This stuff works and it’s safe for kitties!
Hey guys, I bought this to get rid of a moth problem around my entrances and it works on contact! I sprayed it around my entrances where there were just a boom of moths this summer. So many moths kept accidentally getting into the house and I was sick of it. The spray option has a wet spray which is more product per spray and a mist. I used both, applied the product, and instantly the moths were running for cover! That being said I have a kitty in the house whom I love dearly and I definitely wanted it to be safe for him as well. I read on the site that this product is made with a specific species of cedar that is not toxic because A it’s utilizing that oil from a specific non toxic species and B it doesn’t contain phenols! Phenols is what makes sprays and oils especially toxic to cats since they can’t metabolize them. I feel really confident about the product! As another reviewer said if you want to use this on your kitty I’d not spray directly but wipe on sparingly. Although I didn’t buy this for my cat I am still giving it a great review because it is being used around my cats living quarters. Also, I love the added benefit that it deters other critters besides moths! The product doesn’t say it specifically is formulated against moths but I had previously looked up what deters moth and cedar is one! So the more you know.

Best & Safest Flea Repellent I have ever found!!!
When it comes to looking for something safe/natural that works it's been almost impossible!!! Nexgard killed 1 of our Dogs & FrontLine, I've been having to use a vial for a large 80 pound dog on my 20 pound dog and it still doesn't touch the fleas... we have also used Seresto collars, which are very pricey and they don't work either... Up to this point I had found nothing that actually worked until I Discovered Cedarcide. OMG, it will kill the fleas that your dog or cat may have on them very quickly and the fleas are not coming back...and best of all its SAFE!!! I am not necessarily a fan of the scent of cedar but because it works so incredibly well, I can deal with the scent!I'm only spraying it on my hand and wiping it on the top of the head and the neck of my cat and down her back where she can't reach it because its still cedar and she doesnt need to ingest that and I'm spraying it on my dogs just like I would put frontline down their back and I do put a little on my hand and put it on their legs and their belly ... I'm only having to do it once a week. Obviously I don't know for a fact it's keeping the Mosquitoes away but bugs in general don't like the smell of Cedar and we don't have ticks but I will not ever use another poison on my dogs or cats again? I will literally not ever be without a bottle and because it takes so little, one bottle should last several months if not longer...well worth checking it out!

Poor packaging
This item works great as an alternative to chemical bug sprays. It has a very nice cedar smell. I've used it on my dog as well as on my clothing and myself. My only comment is that part of the product leaked out of the plastic bag and into the shipping box. The leak has since evaporated so I can't send a photo.. This resulted in losing some of the product which has become pricey. Is there a remedy for this?

Spray bottle causes waste of an excellent product.
The product works excellently, but the nozzle on this bottle "froze" up right in the middle of using it. This is expensive stuff, so having to waste it by POURING it (instead of spraying it) on the ants was infuriating. They need a better sprayer for their product. My advise would be to buy the refill Cedarcide and buy your own spray bottle from someone else.

It works. Be generous, it smells but beats fleas so who cares!!
We were taken by surprise and did not realize fleas had an alleged season, in LA it is supposedly in Autum when it gets cooler. It was terrible. This did not kill fleas that had become lose, but after treatment and proper removal with a comb, this would work as a prevention measure. I carry a travel size in my purse (yes) I have a medium size in my car and spray him before we take a walk, and I use the big size at home to spray his bed and places he sits after I clean and vacuum. It is expensive and has an odor. The smell is "woody" and I would not wear it as perfume but it's tiny price to pay for saying adieu to a flea infested Fall. This year I will shell out for the gallon and be ready . . .

actually works and it's non toxic.......non staining and smells good
was desperate to find something that was non toxic and natural that would work. this CEDARCIDE ORIGINAL is what I bought (gallon size with special they had going on and a coupon at their website).my cat is not fond of sprays so he runs so what I do is put some on my hands and go try to find him.he tries to hide but I gently rub it on him as I can (doesn't take much) and he instantly calms down because he is not itching from fleas! so I use it sparingly, not much and certainly not with a sprayer, I have used a brush and put it on the brush to brush him but my kitty does try to run due to the smell. I love the smell, it is like a cedar tree, nothing else but a bit of soybean oil and it is NON staining! I recommend it highly and they usually have coupons and the customer service is EXCELLENT. love that it works without hurting my kitty. *great for dogs too according to the website.

Effective and Natural
I've been using Cedarcide for several years, since they were Best Yet. It's a natural insecticide with a pleasant cedar smell, and it really works well for all insects, except the beneficial ones, like lady bugs. I was dismayed to see that they doubled the price - actually the price is the same, but the quantity is half of what you used to get. I'll still use it, but I'm not as liberal with it as before. Years ago, I had German roaches come in a packing box with peanuts, unknowingly, and nothing I tried got rid of them, except Cedarcide. I futilely tried the standard traps, glue traps and such, but it wasn't until I treated all my cabinets with Cedarcide that I got rid of them. I have dogs and am chemical sensitive, so this is the go-to product for insect control. It works great as a mosquito repellent on your skin, too.
