Gorgeous, works unbelievably well IF you install it right.
I own an acupuncture clinic with big windows in front. I wanted to add a little bit of privacy on a side window facing a dry cleaner while still letting in light, and this fit the bill. You CAN install this with no "bubbles" and no problems with the adhesive being "ruined". Clean the window completely first. including the frame. Then simply get a spray bottle and fill it with a mixture of maybe a teaspoon of baby shampoo and water. I dumped a windex bottle in a bowl, emptied the sprayer by triggering it until empty, then used the baby shampoo solution.Spray the heck out of the window and it. Both sides, so it doesn't stick to itself. Then you simply put it up while brushing towards the side with a credit card.I took a craft knife to the initial edge on one side, and cut it just slightly smaller than the window - not noticeable unless you're looking for it specifically. Smoothed it over to the other edge, and trimmed the other edge as well. (The top and bottom have about an 8 inch gap - this is what I wanted.)Don't be afraid to pull it back off and reapply, but be liberal with the solution. The credit card WILL squeegee most of the solution out from in back, and this WILL try it out surprisingly fast. It took me a couple tries to trim the second side to not overlap the window edge. If it does overlap, it WILL peel back. Also one top edge required a few tries to get it to stick - really work the corners and edges to make it sticky if this happens.

Pretty and resilient if you install it right
I installed this on two windows -- one in the kitchen and one in the living room, both facing the street (I live in a city, and my choice was privacy and blinds down all the time, or sharing my life with everyone passing by these two windows). I did a great job (followed instructions and all) on the big living room window, and several years later, the film is still in place, and it still looks great. I got cocky and a bit sloppy on the kitchen window. To be fair, the same edges that didn't stick at first (I didn't completely do it right since I decided following the same steps is for the weak) are still loose (clear tape is your friend for that), but it didn't get worse. In both cases, the windows still let in a fair amount of light, and it looks very nice (there's a nice, low-key elegance to these that you can't achieve with blinds). On top of that, the privacy film is a LOT easier to clean than blinds.

Essential for privacy in awkward spaces
I purchased a roll of this window film to apply to the easement windows in my basement. I live in the city and the basement windows are exposed enough that it was possible to see our television through the windows, especially at night. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough clearance to hang drapes, so I went searching for another solution. The Gila window film has been a perfect way to provide privacy to the basement, while still letting in ambient light during the day for my dog and while tricky, I would certainly recommend this (and have!) to others. One word of caution, application is tricky to manage. Reading other reviews on amazon it was clear that my windows needed to be very very clean before attempting application. My house is old and the windows are decades old. I got them as clean as I could but ultimately had some corners that would not stay down because of the residual dust in the corners. I would absolutely recommend watching their youtube videos on application and take your time when applying. If I had a brand new window, I could see these going on flawlessly but I have to take away one star because of the curling corners.

Looks great, but won’t stick to bathroom window
We’ve had this brand of privacy film in our bathroom before, but not this specific kind. We’re finding that after we take a shower or bath that the film starts peeling off. We’ve redone the installation several times, clean the window, use the manufacturer’s spray product, but still falls off. Disappointing.

Perfect for privacy yet letting in sunlight
We have sliding doors that face our close neighbors, so 2 of these were perfect to attain the privacy we wanted without the use curtains. First off, the key to having a smooth installation is to clean the windows AND the frame. I made the mistake on the first side of not cleaning the frame, which caused dirt and debris to slide into the film and eventually caused the film to slip off. The solution to this error was to use painting tape (blue one) temporarily. Second, watch a youtube video or two on installation of window film. This will really help in understanding the basics. Third, purchase the Gila kit with squeegee, you can't install this without it. Finally, be patient. This is a great product if installed correctly. It looks great and allows sunlight to come through. This is priced the same as in Lowes or Home Depot, cheaper from Amazon if you consider you're not paying tax.

Gives you privacy without losing sunlight.
I love this stuff! You definitely want to read the directions on how to install it. It was kind of a pain and frustrating at times. But! It was worth the struggle. It's held up perfectly for close to a year now. It works perfectly for giving us some privacy without losing sunlight. And it looks pretty!*update 12/2015*I've now had this installed for several years and it's still holding up wonderfully! My windows have even had wet consideration on top of the film during the winter time and it still holds in place! I've had one little corner peel up, but I gusted used a glue to put it back down. Glue probably wasn't the best choice, but it was driving me crazy that it wouldn't stay down, and I don't ever plan to take the film off my windows, so glue did the job.

Crap, crap, crap
Have used this company for years and have never had a problem, but the last two times I’ve tried to use this particular brand didn’t matter what paper it was it has peeled back on me, rolled gotten too sticky. I don’t know what they’ve done with their product, but it has changed and I will never use it again.

It’s beautiful on and easy to apply.
I have two cupboards that have glass panel doors. I don’t necessarily want anybody to see my clutter inside the cabinets so I covered them with this rice paper it is fabulous! It’s easy to apply, sticks really well and looks beautiful when it’s on.

Window film - rice paper
It’s ok, not as good as the window film purchased from another supplier. Product was light weight and tended to stretch easily which resulted in a lot of air bubbles. Does the job for now but wouldn’t buy from this supplier again.

A real pain to install....
I was installing a large panel 76X28 inches.Difficult to install as this is too big. I can see that it would be easier with a smaller panel. Also in some areas (especially corners) the adhesive was not too good.Looks OK but not perfect.
