Table Museum Series: David by Michelangelo Figma Action Figure

This is a small articulated figure based on the Michael Angelo sculpture of David. It is about 8” tall and can be posed like the wooden artists models.

Loved all the items that clip on for a multitude of poses, recipient thought it was a hoot.

I want to get this out of the way, it’s nowhere near as white as the promo pics make it look, it’s supposed to be marble white instead it’s a stone grey with darker grey shading. That being said, I have never seen a figure do what this one does with the torso articulation. Instead of breaking up the sculpt, it uses a softer rubber like plastic overlay over the lower torso and pelvis to make it look like one piece but it can flex considerably. I like that the back of the hair is hinged to give the head more range. Really my only complaint as far posing is concerned is the legs, they don’t extend further than 80 degrees. That all being said, it does what the Table Top Museum line sets out to do and that’s make action figures out of famous pieces of art.

Truly a majestic piece of work.

I got this mostly as a gag gift. It was super cool win all of the opposable parts, however, was poorly crafted. His legs and arms don’t sit correctly in their sockets. Would not recommend use as an action figure, but as a mini statue just for looks it is appropriate.

Very disappointing. The product is very cheaply made. The parts did not fit properly. - snap together like they should. It was impossible to place the action figure on the enclosed stand; because the holes in the feet are much smaller than the pegs they are supposed to snap into. I returned the product immediately. I have collected action figures for years and this has to be the absolute worst.

figmaの『テーブル美術館』シリーズ第3弾。　外観の特にオリジナルのポーズと取った様子の素晴らしさはもちろんですが、今回は眼球可動頭部や、投石器等の小道具が付く事で、更にジョーク・グッズとしても楽しめるフィギュアとなりました。　本ダビデ像の可動部は同シリーズ｢考える人｣程大きく有りませんが『ミロのヴィーナス』よりは良く動きます。　後頭部にも後ろ髪が別パーツとなり可動する事で首を後ろにそらすポーズも少しとれます。　元のデザインが素晴らし過ぎる上、ポーズも考え抜かれた物なので、他のどんな格好をさせても冗談になってしまうのが珠に瑕です。　精緻を極めた眼球可動も思った程本商品に関しては楽しくありませんでした。　ただ、やはり、よく出来て居ます。　身体の表面の汚し処理や手の甲の浮き出た血管等の再現もお見事です。　　他に気になる点は、手首の取りつけ部品が華奢。これは予備パーツを一個付ける事で有る程度補っています。　下半身のウエストの下から鼠形部迄が軟質パーツの為、可動には良いが耐久性は不安。　　遊び潰してしまいそうな、弄るのが楽しいフィギュアです。　大いにお薦め。　次の「ウィトルウィウス的人体図」はまた凄そうで楽しみです。
