Have played it 17 months now...updated review.
Beautiful instrument. It is solid mahogany, no veneer, and is well made. Tuning pegs are straight. It has metal strings which fit into brass grommits and span across a wood bridge with a central metal strip. The tone is nice (no buzzing) with a significant, sustaining echo from the box as it is designed. For the first 3 weeks it would not stay tuned even for a day. I understand that this is normal while strings and wood settle into the new environment. The lowest (G3) string is the worst and goes out of tune in mere minutes. Other than that, which is self-eliminating, I played it within minutes of the first tuning, and I am pleased with it. You will need a tuner or get a free tuning app on your smart phone. The Lyre comes with a carry case, a tuning wrench, a cleaning cloth, a couple of picks (which I dont use) an entire extra set of strings which are labelled (wow that is great!!), and a booklet which is obviously translated. It's amusing to read it as it is foreign and inaccurate. Otherwise this lyre a fantastic buy. I really dont think you can find a nicer instrument for the money.OK so I have had this lyre for 17 months now. The tuning problem no longer exists with the exception of the G3 string. It is almost impossible to keep tuned and when plucked, shifts tone. My tuner app fluctuates wildly with this one string. Perhaps I just need to replace it. I still really like the instrument and enjoy playing it often. I have played nearly every day since it arrived. My skills have really improved and I am skilled enough to play publicly. For the money, this is an excellent purchase.

The best
Perfect lyre. I bought it to worship Jesus. It sounds amazing and comfortable to hold. Would recommend for beginners. Also to inform you, When tuning, the first 4 days - 1 week won’t hold for long. But afterwards it should.Tuning is very easy. You can download an app called ‘insTuner’ then search on YouTube how the app can help you tune stringed instruments.

Excellent instrument
My husband plays this, and he picked it up very quickly, with the help of some outside guides. The tone is simply beautiful, and it's easy to tune and get going with your musical offering. I highly recommend this lyre. Don't let the inexpensive price fool you -- it's definitely worth more than you're paying.

Good little instrument
Good little instrument to learn on with the correct notes marked on the harp. Good instrument to teach how to read basic music, I tried several ways to hold the harp and all worked even laying in my lap . As for keeping it tuned like any stringed instrument you play it awhile it will need to be tuned, weather can effect the strings, hot or cold room temperature can change the tune. Never store the instrument close to a heater that can damage it. Think of your harp or any instrument you have as a baby be gentle with it, if you have a case keep it in the case. Keep them clean ,and dry. When finished practicing, tune it before you put it away. I play many instruments from piano ,violin, some woodwinds, guitar, and folk harp plus a few others in the mix. When covid is over and I can again volunteer at the after school music program I will have another small harp to teach with. Update ......Had to return the lyre harp because one of the tuning pegs malfunctioned, but up to that point I have been very happy with the little harps so got it replaced. It took some time with customer service but it was worth it. Tuning pegs go out and without a way to repair the peg it is better to replace instrument. I am very happy with the harp and am looking forward to continuing use of it for special music at church. I hope to get some others interested in music with playing it at church.
