Just a correction to the other reviewer. Inter-Tech is German not British.!!!I give a 3 star as i do not own this case and wish to remain impartial

Not suitable for production!
I bought this case to house a backup server for the company I work for. It is a cheap case with 16 3.5 hot swap bays and two 5.25 bays which was perfect for my use case to house hard drives and a tape drive in one case. But it's not all smooth sailing as:1. I would not trust the cheap fans for any length of time, definitely not to cool an important server.2. The rails are poorly made and currently I cannot push the server all the way into the rack (It's an open backed rack and there are no obstructions to the rear). I also have a short 4U version of this server in a different rack in my home lab from another manufacturer and have the same problem. I think they use the same OEM. So same problem.3. The lights on the backplane are constantly either fading out or just dying completely. I had the first problem of this within 3 months. I have had to send them in for exchange TWICE (2 x 2 returns). Same junk ("schrott" the Germans would say) came back and within a short time the LEDs have been fading out/dying again. At the moment I have 3 dead LEDs and one is faded and only visible when I turn the ceiling light off. It looks like I have two hard drive problems.I would only recommend this case if you are on a tight budget and don't mind the above negatives. I would go to ebay and get a used Supermicro/Chembro case or a old complete server. You will probably save yourself some headaches! As it stands I will not buy another case from Inter-Tech or the other UK brand for fear of having the same problems. Not for my home and definitely not for business use.
