Very good read to help understand
How dangerous your child's life can be around strangers, and people who put on a mask of trust, so they can molest your child first chance they get; like on the car ride home from a prison they were just released from for molesting a child, in the back seat, molesting YOUR child, while you drive!! ( its in the book ) and I shudder to think of some of the other things in that book. You will freak out. So if you love your kids, read this book. And if you're a sick bastard who does this to kids, turn yourself in, you know you will never stop till you're arrested.

A delicate but critical subject
Unspeakable acts would also be put out of our awareness if possible. However, sexual abuse of children appears in the news more that anyone would like. This is the only book I know of based on interviews with perpetrators, seeking to understand the influences on their abhorrent behavior. It also searches the thoughts and motivations of such individuals. Beginning to understand these people is the first step to learning how to deal with them in a more effective manner than trying to pretend their behavior does not exist or trying to stamp it out mindlessly. In my opinion, this is a landmark book.Joseph G. Langen, author of The Pastor's Inferno.

good read for victims, possible future predators, caregivers and health providers!
I was a victim of a sexual molester many years ago. Wish this was available then! This read helped me understand the predators point of view! Such as "walk in their shoes"! Knowing what's in this book might help prevent future molestation! I recommend this book!

Was there any fact-checking?
Pryor tells us the men’s accounts probably differ from what actually occurred (p. 301). He says they claimed that some mothers pieced the situation together because the men apparently became blatant in their abuse of the child(ren). (p. 234). Nearly all the men claimed they quickly admitted their guilt (p. 238). Did Prior verify any of this? Did Pryor compare the accounts of the men to those of their victims? What does he expect he might have learned had he interviewed the victims? What would he expect to learn if he interviewed the men today.

Unspeakable Actts Answered the Big Questions
Unspeakable Acts answered all of the questions that have haunted me for years. It is a wonderful resource for families of pediophiles. Much is written about victims and it is difficult to find information about the abusers. My thanks to the author.

Glamorized Ugly
I am only 2 chapters in but this book appears to be a farce. The interviews seem to be a way for the perpetrators to try and justify or minimize what they have done. Even the ones who admitted their own sexual abuse as a child minimize by saying it didn't really bother them, it just made them really focus on sex. Well they didn't turn into sex addicts, they turned into child molesters. Their stories are incongruent with reality. I thought these men were going to give open and honest accounts of what they had done and what has been done to them but they just tried to glamorize ugly. So disappointed. I intend to read a bit more to see if there is any truth to be found in this book.
