Mechanics Time Saver MTSLASTRAY 5 Row Lock-A-Socket Tray

This is a sturdy set of rails. I purchased these and the Ernst set of three at the same time. There are pros and cons to each set. This one is easier to twist and lock and is heavier and feels like the pegs will not break. However, if you want to add another socket in the middle of the rail you either have to slide all sockets out of the holder or move the sockets down. Also in order to add the additional peg you have to take the tray apart. The Ernst simply snaps in and you are done. I did not see other colors for this rail system, perhaps they have them but I could not find it. No big deal, I like both of the railing systems and kept them both and both are serving the purpose.

Literally the best there is. Bought 2 of these,"wish they came in different colors though to help tell if you're grabbing a metric or sae loaded tray."The First 1 I received is labeled "Made in USA on the box" the 2nd "from the same seller" is "Made in China" it seems they are all made in china now sadly :( but the quality between the 2 is near impossible to tell the difference. These are NOT cheap flimsy plastic or thin gauge trays that will easily flex or bend and the rails and the lock-a-socket posts themselves are Rock Solid.Tray #1 My dedicated standard/SAE tray is full up to 1-1/2" shallow sockets, and to 1-1/4 deeps so it is holding a lot of weightTray #2 My dedicated Metric tray is holding a lot more weight loaded down even more withFull load of 1/4 sockets10-24mm 3/8 Shallow and Deep sockets19-32mm + 36mm Snap on 1/2 sockets in both shallow and deep "They weigh a ton" yet I can still flip this thing upside down and shake it without any sockets falling out and without any bending or flexing in the tray, it was kind of scary to do but it held up! There must be at least 15+lbs of 1/2 drive sockets on that tray plus the 3/8s and 1/4s add another good bit of weight as well!I love these 5 row all in 1's and they will serve any home mechanic or diy'er fine but if you have a lot of sockets already, or if like me you seem to keep accumulating more and more sockets into your collection, you might need to get some of the MTS trays in dedicated sizes "the 3 or 5 row version trays that come in dedicated sizes for 1/2, 3/8 etc.etc.".My 1/2 12 point chrome sockets, 1/2 impact sockets and 3/4's chromes still need holders, they're all alone in the bottom drawer on generic socket holder rails which compared to these mts brand holders are junk. :(

Hands down these best socket management system on the market. I have bought 8 of these things. As field tech that has to leave the shop from time to time. I needed a pair for the truck and a pair to leave in the shop. They are so useful that I just had to have them at home as well.

As others have said, this is a top of the line socket holder. The only mechanical complaint is that maybe 3 of the pegs required an excessive amount of torque to lock in with the twist. That problem was only with smaller sockets where it was tough to get much leverage. But I've buried the lead point I wanted to make in this review. It's green! Did you see any other mention of it being green? Or photos of it being green? I didn't. At first I was so shocked I was going to return it. But now I've decided to use it and if I ever get a second holder I'll use that for SAE and use this one for metric. So yeah, it's green. :)

This is fantastic. Literally the best all around, the locking post design is held inside the tray rather than clips onto a rail. Rail designs tend to fail a lot. The clips are plastic and they'll break off eventually like everything does but the replacements are cheap and easy to install. Ive had mine for a few months and none have broken but there are a few at my shop from high end brand labels (literally exactly the same product anyways) that have a few break off over years of work. Matco sells this same thing for over 100 bucks. Buy it from amazon.

It was heavily suggested thatvi get this tray, and i understand why. It fits my tool box well and holds sockets strong with only a simple twist needed to free one up.Unfortunately i did have to take some stars away due to the color. Mine came in green with some logos on each side. There is no mention of this in the ad, and the ad photos show it being red. It doesnt effect anything other than screwing up the colors in my tool box, but when you are spending this much on an organizer, color can be a factor in a rating.

i have two of this, i can not say i love it but i do like it a lot, keeping my sockets together, one try for metric and one for standard,its heavy duty full metal base and handle, with a 90 degree twist locks the socket in place, with full try of sockets, its pretty HEAVY, not plan to carry it around, it stays inside my tool box. it looks like the socket pegs are replaceable, but do not know where to get them, just unscrew the two nuts on one side of the tray and slide the pegs out,there are two rows of 1/2 drive, two rows of 3/8 drive, and one row of 1/4 drive,i wish they give me more pegs of 1/4 drives, there not enough pegs for my 1/4 drive sockets ( deep and standard ) or making all pegs base the same size so its more customizable. ( 1/2 drive peg base larger then 3/8 drive peg base, 3/8 drive is larger then 1/4 drive )overall i like it

For a professional mechanic as I am this makes life ten times easier. I have two of these one for SAE sockets another for metric. This make moving around and staying organized super easy. Which in my field means more money being made . You can pick the holder up by one handle and not worry about losing any sockets just make sure to lock them in after every use which is as easy as a twist. Also the spaces in th middle are perfect for extensions to lay in. I just wish the spaces in between where magnetized. I am thinking of adding magnets to the gaps.

日本に在庫の無い商品は関税の関係で海外から日本の倉庫を経由して日本郵便にて発送との事で、7月5日に注文して昨日19日に届きました。梱包もそれなりで商品に傷やへこみ等もなく自分的には問題無し。ソケットロック方式は90度曲げてロックするタイプでスナップオンのと同じかと思われます。ソケットレールは外れ無い様になっていて、上方向に1～2mm程浮き横のスライドは結構緩めで、軽く動きます。またタイトルにも書きましたが思っていたよりも大きくて重かったです。横が銀のハンドルを入れて約62cm、ハンドル無しで53cm、縦23cmでした。今の所ストレスフリーで使えてます。後は使っていって耐久性を確かめていきたいです。
