Wow! What a difference it has made for my dry eyes!
I use a bi-pap every night. It leaks air into my eyes. I already had dry eyes and the bi-pap made my dry eyes so much worse. I tried eye patches that didn’t work because they moved around at night letting the air get into my eyes. Then I saw this on Amazon. I thought it was pricey but bought it anyway as I had tried so many different patches over my eyes.Wow! What a difference it makes! I couldn’t believe it! The next morning I woke up and my eyes were not as dry as before. It actually seals around my eyes at night and doesn’t let the air from my bi-pap get into my eyes. Actually my eyes have moisture in and around them in the morning. I’m sure they will work on a cpap as well as a bipap. I can now use my beloved ceiling fan that I haven’t been able to use in years! I love this mask! Pricey but well worth it!

I’m so glad I have this.
Do you have Corneal Erosion? Maybe you don’t close your eyes fully at night and you wake up with painfully dry eyes (perhaps because you’re running a fan at night)? Maybe you’ve realized a “Sleep Mask” isn’t cutting it and you need to step up your sleep-eye game to goggles. No fear, my friend. I can fill you in. Are you not sure which to buy, the EcoEyes Goggles or the EyeSeals? Let me tell you.I don’t fully close my eyes at night and am susceptible to corneal erosion. I load my eyes up with Muro 128, but I still need something to block the ceiling fan or air conditioning. I have both the goggles and the EyeSeals.I tried the goggles first, because you can get them warm. They kept my eyes moist at night, blocked out light, and I never had the dreaded “stripping” of my cornea. However, I’m a petite female. The goggles didn’t cover my eyes completely and there were cracks for air in the corners because the goggle eye coverings aren’t very large. I imagine if you have a larger face structure, this wouldn’t work for you. The strap also needed constantly adjustment throughout the night. I had to frequently tighten it.The EyeSeals were my next purchase. These fully enclose my eyes and block out light. I slab on the Muro 128, wipe a little water inside and it’s great. They stay put all night, because the EyeSeals are kinda a sticky material. They create a “seal” around each eye. You can see in my photo the size difference between the two options; the EyeSeals will likely fit larger faces. The only issue is that sticky material; my hair gets stuck in it and it pulls it out a little when I take them off. Just a word of caution to folks with long hair. So: for Corneal Erosion get the EyeSeals.

Comfortable. Seal well. Appear to be doing the job. (update)
Comfortable. Seals well. Works as I need it to.I actually bought this to address ocular hypertension that is exacerbated by side sleeping. There are medical studies about it, and the use of goggles to try to prevent pressing your face (and thus lower eye...) into the pillow while side sleeping. The study I read showed 2x-4x increase in internal eye pressure due to this while, and googles used in the study (not EyeSeals, but no product was named) nearly eliminated it. Eye pressure rises at night naturally due to being horizontal, but preventing mashing your eye into the pillow greatly addresses the huge spikes in pressure that were seen in the study. The EyeSeals trap a decent amount of moisture in them, which is their designed purpose. I've not found a downside to that, even though my eyes close fully and I don't require this capability. The googles do leave a light imprint from pressing on my face, but it is nothing like, say, swim goggles. I don't tighten the EyeSeals all that tight. And the imprint is gone after 30 min or so after getting up.I clean the goggles daily using a dab of handsoap and water. Rinse them well. Drying can be a problem if the towel I use sheds any lint at all, because the EyeSeals are a bit tacky.EyeSeals seem to run large, so keep that in mind. I'm a 6'4" guy and they would be a problem for even me if they were a bit larger. But they work well for me as is.Anyway, hope it achieves what I need, because glaucoma (retina/optic nerve damage from high eye pressure) is a big deal. Cross fingers, I'm okay so far. But I came across this potential issue from sleeping and hope the EyeSeals do the job. The proof will be at my next eye checkup. I'll tell my doctor about the goggles and see what he thinks.UPDATE: The fully sealed nature of the goggles would result in increased air pressure against the eye if, say, I pressed my eye against the pillow while side sleeping. It was pressure that I could notice and try to prevent while conscious, but once asleep it would happen for an unknown period of time. Not good for a guy trying to eliminate external pressure against the eye.Solution: I used a leather punch -- the kind for putting holes in belts -- to punch a small hole in each lens. I first tried using a small drill, but the material is too flexible for that to work well. The punch appears to have worked great. It's an inexpensive punch you can buy here on Amazon or many other places.I've been using the goggles with the vent holes for a week now. It completely prevents the air-pressure issue. Surprisingly, it appears to have not lowered the moisture content in the goggles by any appreciable amount. I still have dripping condensation in each eye cup in the morning. So if this idea appeals to you to reduce eye pressure but you are concerned about losing moisture, well, in my case that has not been a problem. YMMV.

Expensive, Uncomfortable, Doesn’t fit. Not worth the $$
My eye doctor recommended this to me for my dry eyes due to not closing my eyes completely while sleeping. For the price I figured it would be at least a little comfortable as well as effective. MassiveNo to both. The mask shape is too big so the rubber seal doesn’t fit around my face properly & leaves gaps at the bridge of my nose, between my eyebrows, my cheekbones etc no matter how much I adjust it. This left my eyes just as dry as they always are upon waking up which completely defeats their purpose. And the rubber seal is so heavy and uncomfortable. The rubber feels tacky and unpleasant on my skin, like I have a piece of tire on my face. For the price you’d think they’d add a soft cool material to the seal to make it a little more comfortable against your skin. They can put flocking inside rubber/latex cleaning gloves to make them more pleasant to wear why can’t they do that for these? Would it really compromise the seal that much? Might as well wear swimming goggles to sleep in. It’s winter right now & the air is dry so I can only imagine how miserable these will feel to wear on hot humid summer nights. Such a disappointment. I am returning.
