Quality of teak and fit are quite good
The magazine racks come unfinished but sanded. This is good because you can varnish or oil (I used Watco teak oil). You will need to locate and drill for mounting screws (I used four #8 pan head stainless steel screws). I bought a second rack after purchasing the first so I was obviously pleased enough with their quality. A bit pricey but high quality teak is hard to source so I had decided not to bother making them myself.

Quality item
Very nice magazine rack, quality materials and craftsmanship. Using it in the bathroom. Was a little hesitant because of the price but don't regret it at all.

Whitecap 62508 Teak Double-Wide Magazine Rack
Expensive, but well constructed. I like teak, and have several items that i've either made or purchased around the house, on the porch, and in the kitchen. This rack is nice for holding kitchen implements, wood platters, small cutting boards, 1/4 sheets, round baking sheets and trays. Hung with a cleat, like a french cleat. I typically just make a simple wood cleat for hanging. Metal cleats are just as easy or easier. One can also attach additional wood to the back, running the entire length, for attaching metal cleats ( its stronger and more flexible, but adds a little more protrusion ).This is a well crafted and well constructed rack, or shelf, with excellent workmanship, but the price point is a little steep. In the end, it will probably last longer on this planet than me, and possibly several future generations too. Teak is such a lovely special wood.

Well Built - Attractive
I wanted something to hold my magazines up off the floor and this was perfect. It's a bit pricey but it's mostly solid wood, and teak at that so you get what you pay for. I ended up drilling 2 mounting holes 16" apart and then hand rubbed it with Danish (teak) finish oil - 2 coats = outstanding. I'd buy again...it's not cheap Chinese stuff so expect to pay more.

We needed a magazine rack that would be sturdy and look good inside our Airstream trailer
We needed a magazine rack that would be sturdy and look good inside our Airstream trailer. It fit right under the TV where a useless cushion sat before. The double wide is perfect. Mounted it with wood screws.
